Yeah, yeah, schizism and so on. Of course it turned out he wasn't our internet friend, he was a writer.

And a bloody good writer at that. Thats why I thought we should have a thread with a heads up about Stuart Campbells New Blog.

The WoSlog.

Obviously it is sometimes filled with wrong opinions, but a blog so opinionated is great stuff anyways.

His top three games of 2007 for example are essential reading.

Snarky, but it's true that I'm over the moon that I've got something to read by Stu that I can read, having cancelled my sub out of principle and that.

It's not snarky. It's almost as if Mr Campbell has realised how the Inderneds work. To be honest, I've never really enjoyed Stu's work. I always preferred JNash and Cam.

Well a blog lets him set the agenda and then he can argue with people in the comments section. Much better than those nasty forums where the users do have a habit of wanting to talk about stuff you might not be interested in.

Still, nice to see he's advanced as far as 2005. Give it another five years and he'll be on Twitter.,,,,,,

I've always liked Stu's work despite everything that went on.

I suppose I owe him one for introducing me to this place!

Edit... He is already on Twitter.

Also, the hilarious hypocrisy of him calling Nintendo liars about what he read with his own two eyes made me pop a spleen.

It's nice to see some more regular writing from him. His writings on the 'classic' pre-Schism WoS were kind of sporadic, and before then it was in monthly magazines or in the even older days Panel 4 on Digitiser every so often.

I've always liked Stu's writing but this story just seemed wrong. It did come across that he just hadn't read what was happening. Typically, he decided it wasn't his fault.. I found that interesting.

Ah, I see. So apparently you've both decided that I was just lying, and that I'm some sort of fucking idiot who can't tell the difference between the numbers "0" and "500" when he's buying something. Righto.

Still slightly puzzled as to how that amounts to "hypocrisy", hilarious or otherwise - if that's your absurdly idiotic view of what happened then you'd be after a word more akin to "stupidity" or some such - but hey, it's the modern age and we can just use words to mean whatever the heck we like, yeah?

Of course, people talking absolute shite about me on here isn't exactly a novelty from what little I've seen, but I was mildly curious to work out what this one was about. Bye!

Not at all Stu, I do believe you about your troubles with Nintendo and it's entertainingly written. However I feel it's a little out of place after the "troubles" of two years ago and the revisionist attitude you've taken about certain events/threads/posts back then. That's all.

Has "Guy Incognito" told you about this or something?

What I can't work out is if it really is the second coming, how come he had time to upload an avatar?

I AM FURIOUSLY ANGRY!

But wait, I couldn't possibly post without an avatar....

Hmm.... let me find an avatar, upload it, and THEN BE FURIOUSLY ANGRY.

I declare this is another sock puppet conveniently posted for the amusement of our mods who are all in Manchester. The only other conclusion is that (Linda - Ed) has spent 2 years lurking, waiting for the single day all the mods have fucked off, ready to delurk and revel in the attention he craves. I think it's the the former.

Indeed so.

If people want to fucking arguing about the two year old tedious bullshit (and I'm including you in this Stu) then fine. But I wouldn't mind keeping this thread about the excellent things written on WoSBlog, so can you all retread the same old ground in a different thread please. Ta.

But yeah, excellent Blog Stu, I like it a lot.

God, yes. Well, more the latter than the former. But isn't our one a bloody miserable, joyless trudge? It's one of the very few things that makes me pity the royal family - everywhere they bloody go, the same awful tumour of an anthem pressing itself down on their ears as thousands of witless oafs look on and grin, expecting them to be happy as though they've never had such a welcome before.

So anyway, more of stu's writing = a Good Thing. This is indisputable, barring intense cretinity*.

*Yes, yes, it's an -ism, I know. But say both out loud and reconsider, eh?
