Any good? Nice part of the world? Places to go to within easy driving distance?

Assuming it's in Hever, Kent, then there's Hever Castle, well worth visiting, Tonbridge is a quite nice little town, and Bewl Water is a reasonably close reservoir that's rather scenic.

Do you like walking in forests? There are some nice trails a short drive away.

I like finding porn stashes in forests.

Good stuff, cheers - apart from the porn stash, obviously. We've just booked a week there in April. Yay, holiday!

My mum and dad had a lovely time there for a long weekend last year, as long as you're after gentle relaxing type holiday stuff as opposed to thrills and spills and excitement then I would imagine it'll be splendiferous.

Go down to Harrisons Rocks need Groombridge. There's some nice walks there, and a huge rock face in the middle of the woods.

The woods and rocks appear in the Doctor Who story Castrovalva.



Weird place. You don't expect to see a cliff face like that in the middle of some woods!

Last thing we want is thrills and spills - just want to have some time with Mrs P. And to explore probably the one bit of the UK that we haven't been around much. I imagine places like Brighton and Hastings aren't too far.

Quite pleased, we've got 7 nights in a one bedroom apartment for £160.

Don't go to Hastings. Just don't. It's a shithole. Yeah the old part is nice enough but in the main it is a run down dump.

Do spend a few hours in Rye and take the drive out to Dungeoness + Camber while there. Dungeoness looks forboding what with the great big nuke plant but it's a really weird and wonderful place.

Not too far from my neck of the woods ( although far away enough that I don't really know it at all ). You're fairly close to Lingfield Racecourse, if you want to spend a pleasant afternoon losing all your cash on the gee-gees.

And there's a lovely restaurant there called Haxted Mill.

Dungeness is a funny old place, so barren and sparse with ramshackle old houses. It's fun to imagine it being a little enclave of survivors in a post apocalyptic environment. I'd like to one day go back and get on the tour to get up close to the concrete 'listening ears'.

Whereas Hastings town is just fucking dirty and shit. There are some nice little small towns and villages around that area though.
