Wasn't there a bunch of Fox executives who when they saw the pilot said, "But why are there horses in space?!"

Awesome moment for Firefly fans in Castle, season 2 episode 5.

Castle, played by Nathan "Mal" Fillion is preparing for his Halloween Party and dresses up in a perfect Mal oufit. His daughter says "what are you supposed to be?" and Castle answers "Space Cowboy!" with a Firefly-esque chord on the soundtrack. Daughter then says "You last wore that costume over 5 years ago, shouldn't you let it go?"

I laughed out loud.

Spooky. We just watched that episode and came on here to post about it to find I had been gazumped.

The series has quickly established itself as a firm favourite in the trouserhouse.

Spooky indeed. What're the odds that we'd watch the same episode on the same day? It's not like it's just been on either. :S

Also in Castle Paz. I man-love Fillon. He's ace, and probably one of the reasons people liked Firefly so much.

I've series 2 downloaded from merka up to episode 13 so it was just the 'verse or summfink making us watch it at the same time like.

What channel is it on in the UK?

Glee is rapidly becoming my second favourite show on the tellybox (after Modern Family).

Watched the episode with the football game yesterday. Brilliant stuff.

Glee is excellent. After watching the first 2 on TV, the wife insisted that I get the rest of the Merkin episodes. We've seen up to episode 12 and it get's better.

As for Castle, it's not UK TV yet as far as I know.

Apparently there are a number of little references to Firefly in Castle's office. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for more.

I would have bought the DVD of this, but there's only an NTSC one available. Oh well.

And here. It's formulaic as fuck but a fun way to fill 3/4 of an hour. If you're going to cast Nathan Fillion you might as well give him as Nathan Fillion-y a role as possible. Also, it drove me up the wall for the whole first series trying to work out where I'd seen one of the cop sidekicks before, when I finally twigged that he was one of the squaddies in Generation Kill.

This weekend we watched the whole first season of Friday Night Lights. It lost its way a teeny bit in the middle third but was generally bloody excellent.

According the CraigG's twitter, apple are pushing to drop TV show downloads to 59p.

Assuming they are DRM free, I think I would jump on board then. A 20 episode series is £12 which is reasonable and actually cheaper than a DVD box set.

Ah, of course, they would need to be able to be kept on a my external hard drive for xbox 360 playback, which doesn't seem likely...

In that it's a high school melodrama, yeah. I can sort've kind've maybe see the comparision, if I squint a bit.

Same here, but same issue with not being able to play them through the 360. And that issue is DRM, currently. I can't see it changing.

Well. Yeah? Who gives [TELEVISION] shows and films on the net for free, un-encrypted, other than torrent sites? At least this is getting close to a vaguely fair price.

Even the [BRITISH BROADCASTING CORPORATION] doesn't give you unencrypted files of their own stuff.

I can't see that changing for a good while either.

I do so love 'Glee'. It is fighting it out for the coveted title of 'Curiosity's favourite thing on TV right now'.

Though I think 'Modern Family' just edges it out.

I know I have said it before but I have now watched both series of Leverage and it is really great TV.

So if you like the idea of the Hustle with stronger characters, better stories and a lot bigger budget (and some action) give it a try. You won't regret it.

Not a cerebral experience but as pure entertainment goes it doesn't get much better than this.

The announced release of a second 'Richard Castle' novel in September this year strongly suggests that Castle will make it to a third season.

I've watched up to Episode 4 of Castle and its enjoyable enough - lots of things this week looked much more like it would be the 2nd episode rather than the 4th (things like her showing up at his house / his comments on the watch / etc etc

We're totally caught up on Castle now and it's got better as it's gone on. The chemistry works really well and the two other cops are a lot less cardboard cutout although none could be as awesome as Cho in The Mentalist as a non main cop type person.

Perfect vehicle for Fillion I reckon. Well apart from you know but I really should move on from that.
