This has come up at work (er, really) - I'd goe for hoes myself, but that's probably far too "correct".

And yes, we're talking about the street slang for ladies of questionable morals, not gardening implements.

Whilst not entirely sure whether it is 1 or 3, it is CERTAINLY not option two.

Why did they pick "ho"? Why not another garden implement?

I think "I got 99 problems but a Trenching Mattock ain't one" has a certain ring to it.

This is what I'd have said, although option two seems to be very commonly used. Ultimately I guess what Zardoz said goes.

It's written on the T-shirt I'm currently wearing as 'hos', I must confess.

A ho isn't a garden implement, a hoe is.

Hence the plural is hos, not hoes.

Noun

Singular
go

Plural
goes

go (plural goes)

1. A turn at something.

You’ve been on it long enough—now let your brother have a go.

2. A turn in a game.

It’s your go.

3. An attempt.

I’ll give it a go.

4. An approval to do something or a something that has been approved to do.

We will begin as soon as the boss says it's a go.

It's "hoz".

Ha ha ha, Tom Ford?

Yeah I bet he wishes he looked like that.

Although, it does look like he could be sizing up an exhaust pipe ready for some hot action.
