We are approaching the end of our now-traditional cheese/crackers/pate/bread feast. There's a bottle of cham-pag-nn (Zap Brannigan) in the fridge for a bit later but for now I feel a bit stuffed.

And for once, we don't plan on watching the appalling BBC coverage of the fireworks (oh yes, let's look at CUNTS IN THE CROWD while thousands of pounds of fireworks are exploding. They're enjoying it, because THEY CAN FUCKING SEE IT) nor Jools' Hootenany.

HAPPY NEW YEAR Y'ALL!

Should auld sprite art be forgot,

For auld lang syne, my dear,

Mother fucker.

So I am sitting here listening to the sound track for Rollin' with the nines (gang movie set in Brixton. Don't ask why I like the rap songs but I do, especially Ghetto Warcry).

All of a sudden I hear an explosion and a really big flash. Jump up and rush to the window.

Look down and the German bloke next door is lighting off fireworks about 2ft from our houses. And I'm not talking sparklers I am talking seriously heavy artillery. Batteries of aerial bombs, ground mines etc.

Fucking mad cunt. Not much fun when you have two semi wild cats in your house.

Yeah I have fucking scratch marks about 7ft up the walls. Punzel went fucking bezerk.

Not entirely his fault as he doesn't know I have the cats and I don't make it public business but fuck me what a mad cunt.

Sod that :D

I've seen him come home in his dress. He does that Ikido shit or whatever it's called. Serious he looks like something out of fuckin Samurai Showdown. Literally waiting for him to yell IPPON.

And if that's his reaction to us taking all his bombs away I wouldn't want to play him at footy :D

Isnt watching fireworks on tv akin to having sex with a virtual woman...it nice, but its nothing like the real thing.

Ramsea I saw the festival fireworks live (same location). Got a sore neck, couldn't see much and got rained on. Also cost actual money. Virtual wins this time.

Yeah, that's how we watched it. Apart from a few too many close-ups of explosions (as opposed to the excellent views of the Eye with everything going kablammo around it) it was indeed good. My experience of the BBC coverage of the last few years has been lingering shots of random cunts in the crowd, but I don't know if they suddenly saw the light this year and fired that director.

I'm going to sit here for what seems like an eternity for the audience, never mind you, asking endlessly naff questions until you just want to grab hold of my saggy body, pour some Bell's down my neck and plant me back at the piano to get on with the fucking show already! Except this was all filmed two weeks ago, of course!"

We watched a little of the run-in one BBC 1. A girl called Mylene was on interviewing the random cunts. It was more painful than a thousand Jools Hollands.

Happy new year and all.

Christ knows how I got home, I blame the Cornish mojito. Which was White rum and lime cordial. I'm going to sit in the hot tub and have a beer.

I saw the New Year in by playing Fifa and losing the FA Cup final 3-2 as a result of an own goal in the last minute. I wasn't impressed.

'appy noo year to you all!

Bit of a headache and blur-o-vision, had a good night out, now off a big five hour walk somewhere remote.

Foolish me.

I went to a rubbish house party and beat some bloke I've never met before on the ice hockey game of Mario and Sonic at the winter olympics.

I appeared to have upset him... Anyway, now all this is out the way, can we now get back to normal?

Happy Arbitrary Day!

I have only been up for about half an hour. Last night was fun, though very smokey. I played silly games with my lovely new-ish housemates and a good friend came up from london to join in. We talked until early in the morning, and I think she's now at another house party with her sort-of boyfriend, pretty much right next door to the house I moved out of last month. Odd.

It has been a good year so far. I slept through 90% of it and spent the rest talking to one of my favourite people. I hope the rest of it is fun for everyone.
