Im up to the estate house mission on my vet playthrough now. Only attempted it a couple o times but got to the bit where they start firing on you and got killed. So gave up before I got too angry.

The end.

my first beex game, against boboyaro took place... with only two a map seems very empty though, and then my son starting jumping on me, making me even more cannon fodder.

I'll try and get a game with you over the Christmas break, Romanista... I don't think I've ever played anything online with you.

Oh yeah, no voice chat makes it less rememberable I suppose.

I'll keep my eyes out for you over the Christmas season mate.

Apparently the latest update is live.

And people are saying on the IW forums that the model 1887s are now rubbish.

I expect to see lots of people running around with akimbo rangers when I get back online

I did use them, but granted it was mainly when I ran out of ammo with my main weapon.
It sounds like the range has been massively decreased, which is a good thing, gives you a chance to shoot at them before they spray in your face and kill you

That was the main annoyance for me. I don't really mind them being powerful, it's the fact that the appeared to have the same effective range as an M4 that was irritating.

Yeah, a private match with just two people (and one of them is me) on Afgahn, is going to be pretty boring for the other person (you)! As I am campy sniper whore, sorry! :DD

played a very cheerful game against Shin, DavidG and friends yesterday, just got a tiny bit the hang of it (not really), and we were winning (even though shin shot me for negative points~), and then my xbox crashed.. hopefully not my 4th RROD, could start it up afterwards though.. fun peaceful christmas eve

You'll be waiting until next November, most likely. The best bargain was to get it on release. ;)

I know :( I didn't want it then, though, and I didn't have any money. But I only slightly want it now, so I can wait.

Had a ridiculously good start to the evening. With my silenced LSW, I found myself faced with skilled if gullible players, and scored 11 kills, 1 assist, no deaths in one round of domination. And 33 kills, 8 assists, 5 deaths in the next. Couldn't believe it, was completely thrashing people.

Then GovernmentYard invited me into a game, we got seperated while joining a lobby and he seemingly took this as a personal affront and vanished, ignore all my future attempts and messages to invite him back.

Instead I had a whole bunch of you in, and my streak ended.

Stopping Power M-16 is nice, though.

Oh, and playing on my dad's HDTV in 1080i didn't seem to have much effect (unlike my previous PC experiences) so *shrug* dunno.

did some single player, the controls are feeling more natural.

my wife hates it though, so that limits my playing time..
(the fact that i was liberating afghanistan didn't help)

Although i haven't played it much at all before christmas (borrowed a friends copy for a couple of days and then got it for xmas) and haven't played it much because of jem/Isabelle commitments, i enjoyed the christmas noob killing factor. There are now loads of people playing it with a lower rank/skill level than me which lead to some high scoring games, particularly Domination, although the top spot in a game still alludes me.
Loving Bling though, grip and red dot sight on my LMG FTW.
Still can't get on with a sniper rifle........

Sorry I dashed off yesterday, Ange needed some help moving furniture around. Is your headset broken, or are you not using it due to noise levels?

Noise levels, i had my Stereo headphones on. I had to keep leaving the game too to help with Isabelle.

I've just started playing the Special Ops levels with my brother, and bloody hell they're immense amounts of fun.

We got 3 stars on Sniper Fi pretty easily, but Favela took us a few goes, as one of us would try to be a hero and run off when there were just a couple of bad guys left to kill, and the other would get savaged by dogs as they ran to the rescue.

Amazingly good fun though, and so many different levels to play on. This will keep me amused for a long time, methinks.

Hit level 40 last night and had a double take when playing in a game of "randoms" found one with the gamertag "Cpt Droman" :-)

You had sent the friend request around the same time the forum had loaded up for me to check and see if it was legit or i'd found someone online who had your name

No worries, by a coincidence you were all playing Deathmatch on Wasteland when I started up and I thought you were all in the same game together!

Had one amazing game last night and several good ones, but lag was pretty bad.

There was one absolutely hilarious moment on Derail in the warehouse. We were playing against a bunch of lagged French snipers, and I came into the warehouse and shot the first sniper dead with my shotgun. The second saw me and leapt off the walkway onto the boxes and down to the ground. I leapt down after him. We both shot each other but didn't die, he turned and ran as I was pumping the shotgun and so I took off running after him. We ran around the big pile of crates about three times cartoon stylee before I stopped and hid around a corner watching. Sure enough, he came running past on his own. The second time he came running past, BOOM. Fucking excellent.

Was playing FFA last night with Malabar & we had a pair of nuke boosters in the game, so I took great pleasure in ignoring everyone else & scouting the edges of the map to find them*, kill them & plant a claymore next to their tactical insertion :DD

*Easiest way was to turn up headphones & listen for the sound of someone being knived.

I didn't even notice them until you all moaned in the lobby. I guess the details go unnoticed when you're very new to something, but it did strike me as a little odd that I'd been nuked after only a few minutes.

Good stuff last night, even the Welsh tosser who seemed to take a worrying shine to me. It was hellishly laggy at points, though. I saw you warping around more than a few times.

Me and Bobbyaro were playing last night with a group of children on Rundown, who wanted us to all go over to the same place to protect this kids' emergency airdrop. They'd been getting on my tits that I helped by standing in a nearby building and flashbanging/noobtubing them from the roof.

I'm set to friends only communication so I can't hear any nobends, was that Meryl? Him & gizzy or whatever he was called were the original pair of boosters*.

Aye, the lag was a bit mental, it was fine when I eventually got bored of stalking them around that game & went back to sabotage though, must've just been a crap host.

*Easiest way to tell is by looking at the kills on the bottom of the screen, all he was doing was knifing gizzy every 5 seconds.

And checking the score (pressing select) if one guy has say 10 kills and 0 deaths and another has 0 kills and 10 deaths, it's a bit suspicious.

Sit rep (don't unlock it til later levels) is good for finding the tac insertions as they shine like a little red beacon in the distance

I bought this yesterday on a whim (Hardened Edition £45 in Game - £7.50 Game rewards)

Have played some of the single player and enjoyed it, it seems much louder than Coddy Woddy 4 and what the fuck is Oscar Mike? Everyone seems to be Oscar Mike, good, bad, dead, alive they're all Oscar Mike.

Anyway, more of my expert and eloquent game review to follow, right now I have a wireless data sender to protect.

I started playing this on veteran a couple of days ago after being a little disappointed with the length on Normal.

So far, this is exactly how difficulty levels should rise: enemies don't necessarily take longer to kill, but you've only got a slither of health; you really need to use the environment to its fullest, make good use of your grenades, and generally stay incredibly alert.

No doubt I'll get frustrated and stuck later on, as I've only just completed the snowmobiles, but it's bloody good fun so far. Even the mulitplayer seems a lot more balanced this time around, too.

Oscar Mike = On (the) Move. Important during the Strkyer level so instead of swearing 'STOP SAYING OSCAR MIKE' you get out of its way and avoid being squelched. HOOAH!

I found my Veteran playthrough took less time than my original Normal one. Even with the increased difficulty, I just flew through it.

Finished single player campaign on Regular. I'm awful at this game. I still enjoyed it though and it was a good, some really enjoyable set pieces.

Am currenlty dabbling with the on line death matches. 'tis good.
