Merry Christmas! :hat:

I know it's early but I thought I'd start this because starting a thread that could possibly go beyond 3 pages would be a great present for me!

So what did Santa bring you? Don't be afraid to post pictures!!

so far I have had myself looking mockingly at a xmas service while my parents watch whilst discussing the difference of angels and archangels with my dad.

I decided that archangels seem to be understudies to the angels so they seem to be the workers of the call centre whilst the angels are the team leaders of the call centre. Also the archangels are probably earning about 16k a year, its hard to put an estimate of the angels salary. My dad seemed to like this analogu despite him being a bit ctaholicy.

Nice work, The Vision!

I have not yet opened my pressies, though last week I got a nice Diesel T-shirt and some posh wine and a voucher to let me do Tank Paintball.

Looking forward to the rest of the presents this afternoon. I'm in Ireland, so I hope I don't just get a potato!

I don't understand. When I was younger, I had to drag my parents out of bed, being up several hours earlier than they were. This year, my mum has been up since 7am. I'm still in bed.

I can has got:
-a posh new shirt
-a posh new fleece
-a posh new sweater
-embroidered handkerchiefs
-Space Invaders socks
-the Top Gear 'Where's The Stig?' book
-The 'Homer Simpson' book of Homer Simpson facts about Homer Simpson. Homer Simpson.

So yes, an OLD 30 YEAR OLD MAN'S collection of presents, as far removed from the iPods, GAME vouchers and drunken nights in a club with members of Dirty Sanchez as you can get.

Kate's mother has decided it would be hilarious to get her three daughters Twilight calendars. And all three other halves (myself included) are understandably horrified at being faced with all this phoney teen girl angst leering at us for the next 12 months.

Yep, socks and a novelty tie it was. A slightly very tipsy Mrs. EoaE did promise that I could tie her up and do whatever I liked. I fully intend to hold her to this by tying her up and playing 360 for a whole day :hat:

From Mrs P, I got a beautiful handmade card (pics to follow), some lovely thick jumpers for work, a book on the race to be first to the Moon and a gorgeous Skagen watch.

Which is kind of ironic, as I have been trying to find someone who can sell a Skagen watch in Ireland as Mrs P's pressie. She got a set of artist inks, a full set of Derwent Inktense pencils in a wooden presentation box, a travel book and a scarf from Avoca in Ireland.

Over to her dads now for more food and possibly goodies.

I have a fucking XBox!

It is slightly overwhelming. I am just plugging it into the internet. Thankfully I have the longest ethernet cable ever to do this. Also no HDMI in the box but luckily I already had a cable. Who do Microsoft think they are bundling the console with composite only?

Anyway I am trying to work it all out and sign up for Live. But to do this I have to download a huge update. I also had to piss around with some stupid thing where I had to pick a face.

I have Fifa something, Sonic something, Need for Speed something and an FPS that you lot told me to get that I've forgotten the name of.

I am setting it all up. Username to follow as I believe I need to be friends with Mr Chris before I can shoot him in the head.

Tried to sign up for XBox Live. It demanded a Visa card.

Fair enough I thought and pulled out the company credit card. Spent forever entering the details only for it to reject them again and again. I know the titting card works so what Microsofts problem is I don't know.

Is there an easier way for me to sign up to Xbox live that I can use my common or garden domestic Maestro card?

So far I have this to say. A CPC has quicker loading times and the lack of cut scenes that cannot be bypassed seems to be an advantage.

It shouldn't demand a card, Chinny. If it did, then no-one would be able to use a game-card.

Try signing up for a silver account, then it should offer you a month's gold access for free. Then if you want to continue (and you will) you can just buy the cards.

You should be able to buy a Live subscription card in the shops without bothering with Microsoft having your card details.

I got: Forza 3, gloves, rocky road, jelly beans, Family Guy, a mountain bike maintenance book, chocolates, a cycling top, money box, Pratchett book, gingerbread, marshmallow fluff, money.

Pretty good Christmas. Miss Malabar enjoyed the gifts I bought, so I'm quite happy.
