Right, lets start the week off with some positive stuff shall we? What is going good in your life at the moment or what are you enjoying or looking forward to?

Today I am going for a walk* with a good friend I've made at uni, she will be returning to her family after graduation, so we are trying to get as much walking in as possible. It's also her birthday today (69), so hopefully it will make it a nice day for her.

Tonight I *might* be going to see The Foo Fighters in Manchester.

Tomorrow ALL of the kids are back in school, I can't decide whether to clean the house or get some gaming in while there is no-one walking past the telly every 5 mins. I suspect the latter. ;)

Thursday I have a mock interview at the uni to help to prepare me for next week - nervous - but in a good way. :)

Sunday weather permitting I'm taking my youngest and a couple of his friends to Warwick Castle. I've not been since I was a child so it will be interesting to see how much of it I actually remember! I also may get to meet our very own Sinister Agent, assuming he hasn't been arrested for getting teenage girls drunk. ;)

Go on, your turn! :)

*This will involve the pub for lunch

I'm going to amble into work soon, and then amble out early. Hooray.

I was at work all day yesterday so today doesn't really feel like a start to the week.

However, I am off Thursday, Friday looking after the kids while the wife buggers of down to London to see the Foo Fighters as made famous by post 1 in this very thread.

I'm quite excited about spending a decent amount of time with Megan on a one on one basis as normally it's just in one or two hour pockets. Obviously I intend to have her fully potty trained by the time Helen returns.

Just a headache, but not a great way to start the day. Well, not start, I've been up nearly four hours anyway.

I'm really trying to be positive this morning, but I'm seriously sleep deprived after the weekend. Erm, work really, but might be popping back to the parents tomorrow night for my Dad's birthday, and it's always nice to see the folks.

I am going to have a new baby at some random point over the next 10 days.

The fact that I could be receiving a phone call at any point from Mrs C saying "come home, I'm in labour" is utterly terrifying, and very exciting.

Chris Junior was induced, so we didn't have all of this waiting around and uncertainty malarky.

I've got to ring the council because having renewed my parking permit online as they recommended, they appear to have forgot to, you know, send it to me.

Presumably I can just go down there as I should have in the first place and get another one but god help them if they try to protest or charge me.

I should actually get a cheque today - after nearly two months without* and a stack of bills from the wedding/honeymoon, it will go some towards appeasing the bank.

Have arranged curry with friends. The only thing we missed when we were away was curry.**

Have sped up wifes MacBook Pro by the cunning tactic of deleting all the crap off it.

Got confirmation that friend is going to be coming to Bishops Castle Beer Festival with me

First bit of code I wrote this morning worked

Today, I want to be a good Monday.

*I'm a contractor, so no workee, no payee.
** And you lot, natch

Well I'm mega tired and have a meeting at 11am, but otherwise can't complain which is often as much as you can ask for.

Oh and after complaining to the accountant he reduced my accountacy bill from £374 to £235. Bonus!

He's just going to do the accountancy equivalent of a waiter pissing in your soup next time, though. You'll find HMRC paying a visit with clubs after he tips them off about your little VAT carousel fraud that he discovered. ;)

I felt a bit anxious to get into work this morning. There's no reason whatsoever for this.

I have a massive web site to build, which isn't going to be particularly fun now I'm past the design phase.

The only plus is that I'm alone in the office for most of the week now; though this does mean I have to motivate myself to get things done.

Aside from that, I'm hooked on The Wire now. After taking about 5 weeks to get through series 1, I watched series 2 in under a week and am now chipping away at 3. Fantastic programme. Seriously.

Hopefully when I get home I'll have the new V5C for my car sitting in my postbox, which means I can send it straight back where it came from so that they can carry on with the transfer of my number plate.

Why they couldn't just keep hold of it I don't know.

They had indeed interpreted "We'll post it out next day" as "We'll do absolutely nothing until you call".

I've got 14 days grace so for shits and giggles I let them try posting again. If it's not here in a week I'm going down there. It won't end well.

Person i am teaching is coming in tomorrow, not today.

Ride in was funny due to car driver beginning a highly optimistic over take circa 50 yards behind me just as I passed the go like fuck sign coming out of a village onto a mile long straight. Having a Megane 3 feet behind me flashing its lights and the driver making rude gestures at me at 100mph made the next bend interesting. I lost him through the next 3 miles of twisty roads.

I'm getting a new stereo and speakers for my car this week which accepts USB drives :) The speakers are waterproof, and I'll spray silicone all over the stereo then see if it still works. Neat :D

I've had that, but from cars approaching while I'm overtaking, when I'm not even remotely cutting it fine.

Okay, so if I maintained this course for another 15 seconds, I'd hit you head on, but right now I'm side-by-side with a lorry, and you're trying to dazzle me? Do you think I haven't noticed you and didn't, in fact, thoroughly scout ahead before pulling out?

What did the Megane driver expect you to do?

Dunno. Where the exit to the village is, it used to be "Pass the last house, hammer it" but now there's an extra 50 yards or so of 30mph zone before "Hammer it" so I always wait until I pass the signs before getting a shift on. As I passed the Hammer it" sign, I glanced in my mirror to see the Megane pulling out on to the otherside as if to make an overtake. So I hammered it anyway and continued as normal down that road. I think he was either in a hurry, or believed that a family hatchback can outdrag a bike.

I suspect he was annoyed that you accelerated after he began overtaking. OK, he was in the wrong if he was breaking the 30 limit (and for expecting a nutter on a sport bike to do anything other than race him), but two wrongs don't make a right :)

He was miles behind me. Well, not miles, but it far enough.

The only thing I can look forwards to on this bleak Monday morning is that after work on Thursday I am going to pack a bag, grab my golf clubs and spend the night in a travel inn at FOlkestone.

No wait, that's not something to look forwards to!

Aha, yes, on the Friday morning I'll hop on to the Eurostar with my brother and my Dad, and we're going to go and play golf in France for four days.

Woop woop.

Wow, I thought she had another month left yet!!

Make sure you keep us up to date! :)

As you've probably all gathered my walk for lunch has been cancelled, but this is good as it's meant that I can get more done and we are still meeting at a pub for lunch (shucks). Got got back from Lisa having her eyes tested too and for two pairs of new glasses inc sunglasses, it's cost me just over £30! *shocked* Result! :D

Craster has always maintained that if you're ever lost in a D&D dungeon, you can always get out by turning left at every opportunity.

I am going to build one and stick him in it at some point. I just need to work out how to breed the rabbits into basilisks.

Same is true for mazes, just follow the left hand wall. And if that doesn't work, follow the right. Also, in FPS's most people, being right handed will run clockwise around a map.

Eek! That's going to be me soon too. Eek! Weird 50/50 mix of joy and apprehension. I suppose it's  / :S in Dimspeak.

I will also be expecting the tiny pitter patter of keyboard clicks on my Macbook/Pro soonish.

i was just making a full left, 90° each time, and assuming the right to be 90° also.

I am not pansying around with other angles. What you need is proper corners. Good solid right angles.

So for two wrongs to make a right in the world of Mimi, a wrong must be 270 degrees of left / 2.

So two wrongs make a right, so long as you're both 135 degrees wrong.

Yeah, I do that too. Until I've learnt the map, I'll follow the left wall all around. Scary how some maps are still familiar after all this time - I can still remember parts of Skara Brae in Bards Tale and the Shining in the Darkness dungeon layouts too.

Eek! That's going to be me soon too. Eek! Weird 50/50 mix of joy and apprehension. I suppose it's  / :S in Dimspeak.

I will also be expecting the tiny pitter patter of keyboard clicks on my Macbook/Pro soonish.

Wouldn't it be spooky if they both turned up at the same time? ?:|

I was going to say it's the same kid and Zardoz and MrChris are the witless fools of MrsChris/Zardoz, who is playing them both as the daddy. It'd get on Jeremy Kyle.
