I'm working today. :(

The good news is that we got Houdini Dax and The Keys ("Who?" - ed.) to play in the library, meaning that I had some good, jaunty music to shelve to. Also took some good pics of their performance. Relieved that people turned up to see them, too. :)

But yeah, a one day weekend for me this week. Boo-urns!

If it makes you feel any better, I haven't been to work since before Christmas and won't be going back for a wee while yet and it's driving me a bit crazy.

Before I quit for the sake of my mental health I worked a fair few Sundays dealing with irate sports fans and all manner of pissed up fuckers calling me all the cunts under the sun.

I'm much skinter but much less depressed these days.

I actually didn't mind working Saturdays at Gamestation. That's because they were mostly: open, argh fuck where did all these people come from, close. You then got a weekday off to sit around in your pants playing the games you spent the rest of the week trying to sell.

That sounds like my ideal job for right now!

I've paid my dues. 5 years of shift work, starting at 5am, 11 hour shifts, 3 days on 3 days off, in an airport, selling overpriced shit.

It nearly killed me. So I left and got a proper job.
