So, my son (almost 3 now) enjoys playing NSMBWii, and WiiSportsResort with me. And he likes Bob the Builder (bob de bouwer in dutch), who has a downpriced wii game.

should i

1) keep his gaming taste straight, and educate him only with quality titles
2) provide him with some bob the builder fun, how awful the game might be..

As he's nearly 3, I'm think it's time he experienced the crushing disappointment of an eagerly-awaited game turning out to be a pile of crap.

A tough one. I'd probably choose option 1, unless he's specifically asked for the Bob the Builder game.

It's best he learns about rubbish games early as we've all had to endure them through our gaming life.

How can he appreciate the quality, if he hasn't had to endure the cack?

If he's asked for it, then get it for him, otherwise avoid.

At three years old he will probably enjoy it even if it is crap.

You could save the money and take him outside for some exercise?

One thing all of you are missing is that this game is ace, it has a co-op mode also so you can build with him :nerd:

The above statement is a lie and is defiantly not to be believed (but there is a Co-op mode ;p) But looking at this for my 4 yr old nephew also, a customer review on amazon made me laugh.

Quote:
This game was rated at age 3+ so i imagined my 3 year old, who has very limited experience of using the wii, would take time to pick it up. Unfortunately, it took so much time, he was bored and went back to playing with something else - I, on the other hand, am very talented (ahem...) with the wii and I too struggled!!!

haha, think i will save the cash and get the little blighter a super soaker for crimbo, or maybe get him Madworld

I'd buy him a book.

Or some lego.
