Yes, but not every rucksack can fit a keyboard in :)

*utterly does not mention the Alienware gaming rucksack in any way, shape or form*

The MX518 is a cracking mouse. I'll definitely get another if this breaks, but it's been going strong for a few years now.

Agreed, this is a great mouse and not too expensive either. I didnt think a decent mouse would make much of a difference in gaming, however trying to go back to an old school bally one now is horrible. Unlike the keyboard, I think a mouse is essential to FPS's and suchlike.

Civ 4 is...
Interesting.... but a LOT more 'casual'-tastic than previous incarnations.

Are you playing a short game? Because the longer games at the harder difficulty levels are just as hardcore as ever.

Besides, the best version of Civ is still Civ Revolutions, which is as casual as they come.

I've played a couple of games. One as the russians, which went well until my pc died (I was culturally tough, and a bit good at research, but militarily getting pretty cornered - napoleon, caesar and cleopatra were my neighbours, and I'd started to run out of diplomatic options with them and was fighting a losing battle, so was in the process of high-tailing it to the as yet undiscovered new world when it went. Since then I've reinstalled and played as france, but soon got curb stomped by the aztecs. I'm normally good, but it's pretty tough. Fun though.

What's bts?

Beyond the sword. It's the second expansion pack. Includes things like espionage, redone flight mechanics, improved diplomacy options various other stuff.

Also, the Koreans, with a leader with the unfortunate name "Wang kon"

I know i'm a bit late but i want to contribute by saying there isn't anything better than a plain white samsung keyboard. I tried 2 gaming keyboards, mostly because i wanted one with lighting to play in the dark, but they were completely shit so i returned them, and i still have this same keyboard for 8 years or such.

Regarding pc games, i'm playing Temple of elemental evil again. It's a game with so many flaws and shitty level designs, but great and challenging combat.

Ah, OK - that's the remake.

The one thing I hated about that game was that they included crafting, but you needed to start off with a masterwork weapon. There were only about 3 masterwork weapons in the entire game.

Actually there are tons. Maybe they fixed it with some patch. But i don't craft weapons because they are actually better than most weapons and that takes out the fun of finding magical ones.

If the desired qualities of a good gaming keyboard are "durable", "can press lots of buttons at once", and "no Windows key to fuck your shit up", then look no further:

Image

As an added bonus, at LAN parties, you can use a Model M to beat opponents to death with when they best you.

Hell yes I remember those :D

*clack clack clack*

They don't bloody make them like they used to, that's for sure. But saying that, they don't cost what they used to either.

They're fucking awesome. BIG improvement on the previous 'crumb catcher' model.

There probably won't be anything materially expensive about it though. This gaming keyboard is almost certainly a normal keyboard with a bit of branding and perhaps a fancier case thrown at it (and an outdated chipset with a PS/2 interface!)

"No-click mechanical" keys? Really? So it's a bog standard dome-switch keyboard like the basic Dell one I'm using now.

Chances are it is, in fact, simply surplus-stock of a reasonable quality 10 year old keyboard that someone has decided to rebrand and sell at a 100x profit factor. Good luck to 'em.

If you pay £88 for it, you are guaranteed to claim it's the bees knees. Especially if you rarely actually type anything on it.

The game claimed I had spent 35 hours on that.

WHAT A LIE.

Steam claims something similiar -- 36

WHAT A LIE

I'm pretty sure it was more than that, like, 39 or 40 or something.

Looks like Dell could have a fight on their hands.

Last week Origin PC launched in the states.

http://www.originpc.com/

It's basically a load of ex Alienware employees who don't like what Dell has done to the company.

Alienware, you say? I've never heard of them. Do they make flying saucers, or do they just make those tight silver boilersuits?

Oh absolutely. TBH? I think they are going to fail epically.

Now isn't the right time to set up a PC boutique and selling stupidly priced systems, especially with the financial climate but hey, hope they pull it off.
