Hey, at least he isn't tying the £2 to forum privileges. Which is what got me to leave WOS.

I just thought it was worth stating after Ram Twatter published that it was about the sub fee for his writings, like.

Did nobody else read that then? RAM Raider wrote about the forum fallout and completely got the wrong end of the stick.

Yeah, he painted us as being upset that we had to pay to read his writings. Conveniently glossing over the fact it was the paying for the forum that everybody was upset about and most couldn't have given two shits for the sporadic twice annual updates. It was full of stuff like "we wish Mr Campbell well on his bold and exciting new venture of money pay write thing"

Yeah, I remember that alright. One of the more irritating parts, along with the ("time we all had buns and fizzy pop and nothing untoward happened whatsoever" -Ed).

Filling the pages with stuff when games were thin on the ground.

That article he did about sinister kid's games was awesome. "I am standing behind you, and I'm going to kill you."

I get that. When he was writing *about* something, he was excellent. But when they let him just fill pages with he own creations... yawn.

I fondly remember his completely inexplicable 'BEETHOVEN - BADGE 457!' credits sequence script intro to a review, I believe it was Fears, or Gloom, but I think Fears. Freezingly: "I'm sorry chief, I just don't hear you..."

Finding the Driv3r thing amusing if a bit too tricky to read. (Too many glottic knots, Mr Nash!) However, joyed-up to see that he's overcome the Gerald Falsely curse of fake-news being unfunny with the highly spiffy Toothbrush article. Especially funny as its hootingly out of date. Also, glad to see more pics of Margaret Rutherford.
