That's been beaten by more than half: clicky WARNING! NSFW and potentially upsetting. All I'll say is, she was five. :o

This is nothing new, really. Unusual, sure, but, y'know, plenty of girls start having periods at 10 or earlier. A few (extreeeemlely few over here, obv) are sexually active very early. Historically, people were married off and humpy only a year or two after 11 all the time. Juliet was 12, remember, and I don't think there was a 'finding the condoms' scene in there. Although there should have been, because who couldn't relate to that?

Pedants corner: Juliet (assuming we me 'Romeo and') was "nearly 14".

I doubt Juliet's Dad would beat you any less greviously whether she were 12 or 14 though, really.

Having met Grim... it would be a very brave man to argue that he "couldn't provide"...

And her family is worried that she hasn't married yet, and is in danger of becoming an old maid.

Its the whole 'biology' versus 'the norm' thing.

Children in modern, western countries mature really slowly, because they don't have to. In ye olden days, and in some places in modern times, they don't have that luxury.

Word on the street has it that the 14 year olds around here are right dirty bitches.

As it was ever thus, then.

My friend's little girl started her periods when she was 8. That really freaked me out.

5 though? crikey. That's just hard to take in tbh...

I find it more than a bit disturbing when people discuss their child's catamenia.
