If you want to stick to Photoshop, just alter your brush hardness.

Select the brush tool then click on the size in the top menu bar, a drop down will appear with a hardness slider*.

What's the difference?

Also, what MaliA said has changed somewhat since this morning.

I was trying to word it in a less inflammatory fashion.

If you will bring jam sandwiches to work that's what'll happen.

That's my flat (well, the corridor near my flat, at least) - work is nowhere near as impressive.

Anyone looking to move, by the way?

I want that new Mac Magic Mouse. Well, I'd like to try it out at least.

New 27" LED iMac looks tasty too.

Couldn't you have put it in at 10pm and just turned it off when you got up?

27" iMac looks yum, but I don't think I'd like the mouse at all.
Maybe it'll work okay, but I just can't imagine it being that good.

Althought I know that I would have been safe, there still would be a nagging doubt that the oven was on whislt I slept. Also, I like to check it whislt cooking, basting it and so on.

I think I need to use it before I can judge. One thing that immediately jumped out at me; the web browser back/forward gesture on my Macbook is three fingers left/right -- but it's two fingers on the mouse (probably because of the smaller upper surface). I think that would confuse me.

Oh, and the iMac now supports video in, so you can use it as a plain monitor if you want (like if the rest of the guts are thoroughly obsoleted and you just want to use the screen in five years time). That makes the all-in-one thing a bit more palatable.

That also makes it very nice to plug my MacBook Pro into. A very expensive second display though :DD

Cripes. (BBC video of runaway Russian bus).

@Zardoz. Cheers chicklet. The pictures are drawn with hard edges and are perfects at the larger scale (sorry, I should have mentioned that I know how to use PS a fair bit) it was just the re-scaling I was having issues with, they are becoming too softened after the event, but I'm going to try something different when I have got some spare time. Or just scour the internet for some sheep smilies.

It's the man's fault for being on the raod and the bus driver shouldn't be to blame as he clearly panicked.

A fugitive German doctor who went on the run after poisoning his lover's 14-year-old daughter more than 27 years ago has been dumped, bound and gagged, outside a French court.

I bet that bloke felt dead brilliant afterwards. I'd be playing the footage every time people came over to the house. Thoroughly twattish, but so exciting.

hang it in the bathroom whilst you take a shower, the steam should freshen it up a bit.

Failing that Febreze.

Quote:
A new and rare species of "giant" orb web spider has been discovered in Africa and Madagascar.

In the journal Plos One, researchers describe Nephila komaci as the largest web spinning spider known to science.

Only the females of this groups of species are giants, with a leg span of up to 12cm (4.7in); the male spiders are tiny by comparison.

Scientists say the female spiders are capable of spinning webs that reach up to 1m (3ft 3in) in diameter.

That doesn't seem that big to me (the web I mean) I've seen webs across the path leading to my front door, and the gap between the wall and the bushes must be over 2m.

What I gather and say 'should' is that I have not checked in a while (few months) on the website, so it was from memory. Is that Display port will allow conversion do digital formats not analogue. when i get time later today I will have a look :)

She's talking about Emmerdale, apparently. I find that I can ignore that fuck really easily.

[edit]Er, 'fact', not fuck. Paging Dr. Freud to the B&B thread...

I think they mean the central 'wheel' bit - the outer strands connecting the web to walls and things can be ridiculously long even for your average garden spider, but the actual trap part they spin is relatively small. These big buggers seem to have a trap bit that could be pretty handy at wimbledon.

They actually follow a pretty standard pattern, yet typical garden spider. They start with a horizontal strand that the wind carries to a suitable anchor point, then they make a kind of Y shape with a second strand. They make a triangle round that as the basis of the wheel, then start making lots of spokes outwards. Finally, they go around in a big spiral pattern connecting the spokes. Some little parts of the web aren't sticky, and they know exactly where to put their legs. Also they have little claws that keep them from getting stuck, right, and....

Well, anyway, spiders don't like bees. They'd probably cut a bee loose rather than risk getting stung. A wasp they might try for, as they're smaller and the venom will take faster, but it's a gamble. Also... argh, damn it. Stupid enthusiasm.

There's some outdoor furniture here and there's regularly a single strand of web going about 2 metres, completely horizontally, from one of the chairs over to a lamp pole.

How do they manage that?
