At about 0:28 he has a bit of a tangle with someone else, and I read somewhere him saying something like "The corner was coming up but my front brake was broken from the impact, so my choices were go straight on or try and make the turn, so I went for the turn, but the tyres didn't hold".

Yes, I must admit this last year has had it's moments. Highs: loafing around in flip flops and shorts watching Tommy Walsh all day. Lows: Realising that loafing around in flip flops and shorts watching Tommy Walsh all day doesn't pay the mortgage!

I have been freelancing since the end of April which is great because it's a job but it has its down sides i.e. being away from home, (until recently) varying hours and of course the biggest pain in the arse late payment of invoices!

I've got a fair bit on and the job that I'm doing at a client's office is largely supervisory which means that I have lots of spare time. I am using this spare time to do work for another client. Effectively charging two clients for the same hour, so it's not all bad.

'Tis rumoured the construction industry is slowly coming back up and this is linked to a very tentative offer from my old company (Big QS firm) for my old job back. Interesting. Exciting. Long way off.

Sneaky edit - typos, still not enogh punctuation though!

Cheers chap. It's far from ideal but it's all work and helps fund my roast beef Monster Munch addiction.

Although I have a tentative permanent position lined up I am still lining up other things for the new year when this project should come to an end.

Unless of course you're Tommy Walsh? Well, are you Tommy Walsh? No? Better put that Jammy Dodger down and get to work then!

I now have brilliant images of The Egg crawling through an increasingly tighter tunnel, until finally he finds himself in Tommy Walsh's head, learning eventually to throw Tommy from his own mind and control his every movement.

That'd be an excellent film.

They could get John Malkovich to play The Egg.

And they could call it "Being inside the head of Tommy Walsh. Starring John Malkovich"

Speaking of Lorenzo, every presenter's pronunciation of his name really grates on me, possibly irrationally: 'whore-gay'. Surely it should be a guttural 'H' sound rather than a hard G, given he's a Spaniard.

Yeah, I totally miscalculated how big it would be so there's no room to play pool around the table, and it's too big now that we have two leather chairs that we got for free.

So, it's got to go.

The original idea was to keep it in a mate's garage until we moved house into somewhere bigger, but that's taking longer than expected.

Base coat is now in place. My house stinks of paint. My decorator has two apprentices with him, one is ginger. He has that thousand-yard stare of someone expecting torment after a life of it.

(and no, they didn't empty the slop bucket and start throwing it around, before you ask)
