Yes, an odd choice, what with them being embroiled in the Afghanistan situation still, and having made no headway in the Middle-East peace process yet.

I understand the sentiment, though, if not the decision.

Surely, by virtue of having been voted in as President of United States, he has finally shown the world that black men are equal to whites, provided that they have lots and lots and lots of wealthy white friends to give them money and then do what the white men tell them, and world peace will consequently follow.

Black women should of course, as with white women, remain as housewives and be quiet.

Are these not the morals we're learning from Saint Obama here?

So I guess they wanted to give the prize to Bush Jnr because by standing down he's done the most for world peace than any leader for yonks, but as that isn't allowed they've just given it to the current president.
