At that rate you'll be moving to the Isle of Man next, and eventually retiring in Iceland :)

The country, not the shop.

I am drinking a bottle of clan macgregor whiskey on my own in a hotel room. I don't think my life can sink any further than this.

I just woke up after possibly falling asleep slightly whilst watching Wonder Showzen. That is not something you want to be dreaming about.

I hope gilly is around to even tell ne if that's a good whisky or not

I've got half a bottle of Cobra left, and will go to bed in about 15 minutes. Or maybe a bit longer.

I had one small bottle of Gaymers tonight (quiet at the back!) and it took me about 3 hours to drink it because I kept leaving it in silly places and forgetting about it :(

It's made by one of my companies competitors and I haven't actually tried it. It is one of their cheaper brands but I think it's meant to be pretty decent for the price. It's blended and it's young and it's not a malt but that means it has a much lighter flavour which probably suits you if you don't often drink whisky. I usually like to drink malts for their smokey/peaty taste but I also enjoy J&B which is a nice light whisky. The people who make Clan Macgregor also make Glenfiddich, Sailor Jerry rum (yum yum) and Hendricks Gin (yum yum yum) amongst other things. There have been industry rumours for the last couple of months that my company was planning on buying a controlling stake in that company which I would have loved since it would have meant the aforementioned brands in the staff shop, but nothing has come of that yet.
So basically, a good scotch for the price and not as strongly flavoured as a lot of the speyside or island malts although it possibly will have stronger alcoholy taste but that is common in the cheaper blends, JW red suffers from that as well.

EDIT: I'm hungover.

Yup, a great songwriter, with a great voice and a staggeringly great business sense. She's done the odd bit of complete and utter drek, but a fair bit of her stuff is pretty amazing. She was also pretty much the only woman in mainstream country and western who called her own shots, no mean feat in such an especially chauvenistic industry. Shame about her freakish appearance though.

Despite being very careful as to not let anyone know my workload for this week, someone's noticed and handed me some of their work to do today. I'm on a course tomorrow as well, so might not be able to get this Top 50 article finished, after all. I'll see if I can sneak it in after lunch today.
