I've had them, but then the batteries keep running out and I just end up plugging a proper mouse in instead to stop the hassle.

On my old computer, i've had a logitech cordless click plus mouse(?) for about 5 years. Only getting rid as the buttons are now so worn! It has a stand it sits in and charges when not being used, and i've never had a problem with it being flat/needing to change the batteries. I'm sure it was cheap as chips as it came with my dell....

If you're not sure whether you'll have a decent surface to work on, or the room for a mouse, then get a trackball instead. I highly recommend the Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman.

Hang on. A *cordless* trackball? What's the point of that?

Craster's trackball is in HD and widescreen, too. Playstation compatible.

Logitech MX 620 is what I've got. A pair of AA batteries supposedly lasts for a whole year, and it's just as awesome as a corded mouse.

Surely Mice is the correct term?

I have a cheap-o microsoft one from pc world or comet or somewhere, it was cheap and does the job of clicking when pressed.

Both can be used. Mouses makes more sense in my head, though.

Yeah, likewise. Because they're not actually mice.

This is, though.

It's mouses as it's an acronym. ;)

I use the one I told you last time there was a thread about this, a few weeks ago.

My cordless mice have been very battery efficient.

Logitech are normally the ones I go for.

I've got one of these for my netbook:

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_ ... 1&cl=US,EN

The receiver is so small I can leave it in all the time, without worrying about it falling out, or catching on things.

I've got that model, but the larger size, on my work PC. They're excellent, and the batteries appear to last forever.

I think this is the one I've got.

I think I replace the batteries in my perfectly standard £25 MS keyboard and mouse set about every 6 months at work and obviously that gets used for 8 hours a day in theory.
