How many people do you know in real life from this forum that you haven't met because of it? Here's my list:

Bobbyaro doesn't really count, as although I'd already met him before, I didn't actually speak to him properly until he'd started posting here.

ALSO: how many people know other people that other forum members know? I know there's at least one example out there.

Hmmm. Apart from posters here I know from alt.digitiser (Trousers, The Rev, Metal Angel, DBSnappa, thr0b/Daniel, probably more I've forgotten) and real life mates I dragged in with me (The Egg, Toby): none, I think.

Although I've been in a pre-sales pitch meeting to ScarySheep3000's boss's boss's boss, and I know senior people at jonarob's employer.

Only people that I've met because of other forums, TBH. Craster, Mr Chris, Kizzy (although she never comes here), and I think that's it.

There were only 3 people at my wedding (other than relatives) who I first met for reasons unconnected to the internet.

Wait. I didn't meet Ange from a forum. She was on the Rock City boards, but I never went there.

The only person I know in real life is Ooster. I think he may have linked me to the forum over a year ago (the zombie thread possibly) but I didn't join because everyone was talking about zombies and I'm scared of them.
I'm going to come and meet you all and you will all become my bestest friends though and then you will come and visit me and never want to leave and if you do want to leave I won't let you leave even if it means you cry.

Don't know anyone from off here from before I joined, but if I ever make it to a meetup that'll be aces.

A previous forum I went to, about 20 of us went to Alton Towers for the day, as someone worked there and we all got in free.

I worked with Uncle Pigsy (he joined in with L4D and the ill-fated SF4 tournament), and have known him for quite a long time now. We still work at the same place, but not in the same group anymore.

I know Sinister Agent through other internets. Now we are housemates. This basically means nothing, as we still talk on MSN and stuff, only now we live across the hall from each other and he cooks me dinner.

I have a SHIT job. It's only time that prevents me from coming, as I am forever at work with no holiday in sight (that coincides with meetups).

But Curio is related to my boss, somehow.

I know a few people from alt.digi (Doc G, MetalAngel, Sir Hugh, TheRev and a few others) some from fruitforums (Atrocity Turnip, Cavey & John Coffey) and Zardoz from a number in a public phone box in Kings Cross.

I have met Atrocity, he drinks lady drinks and is a bad loser at pool.

None, apart from the obvious.

It's starting to get to the point where I'm starting to consider delivery men as new friends.
