Is anyone up to anything exciting this bank holiday weekend?

We're going down to stay with Myp's parents for the weekend visiting various relatives along the way. I'm particularly excited for the following -
[*] Going to Bournemouth tomorrow. Hopefully we'll manage to fit in a stroll on the beach
[*] Giving Matt's 2 year old cousin her birthday present (a bright pink toy camper van)
[*] Going out with Matt, his sister and some of Matt's southern friends to The Hobbit in Southampton

I keep being reminded that it's the last bank holiday before Christmas so we should enjoy it!

And seeing my Nan's house for the last time before she sells it and moves to a warden-aided flat. She's lived there since 1963 and my Dad and Uncle grew up there. :(

I'm going to sit on my arse and play with my iPhone all weekend.

Though I may finally get round to showing the wife Firefly.

Me and the wife *might* be pitching the new tent somewhere, but maybe not. Time will tell!

I didn't even know it was a bank holiday weekend! I don't get bank holidays through the year and instead get two weeks off at christmas so I'll try not to complain.

Then up to Manchester (engineering works mean this is a 4 1/2 hour journey ffs), out on the lash tomorrow night, colleagues wedding on Sunday, train home Monday.

Having a quick game of football tonight, housewarming part on sun and then hoping for good weather on Monday as we're having a barbecue for our family and friends at the in-law's place (they've got a lovely big garden), partly as a nice get-together and partly to celebrate our three year wedding anniversary, but mostly just as an excuse to have some fun hopefully.

Nice one. Be sure to go to the castle in the evening: it's almost deserted then and beautiful to wander around.

I'm spending the weekend at the large multi-period re-enactment at Detling, which should be excellent fun if last year was anything to go by.

EDIT Grammar

Barbeque on Monday, weather permitting. Possibly out for a meal over the weekend to celebrate Second Born's GCSE results. OTherwise, as little as humanly possible.

Tonight I am tidying the flat and hoping this hangover pisses off.

Tomorrow we're having a night in with X Factor and booze and friends and poker and other card games. My friend is bringing her new bloke who is a stand up comedian, so that could be entertaining.

Sunday is recovery and possibly a wander across the heath to drink cider in the lovely pub.

Monday... dunno. Possibly more booze.

Yum booze.

Yeah, that could work. Like how I love going around to a mate's house for a pissup and then being asked to fix his PC.

Comedians are serious people in real life.

Look at Peter Kay - ex army commando with a string of failed marriages

Aren't stand up comedians generally emotionally damaged, shattered individuals who can only face the real world with a comedy facade?

Effectively, she's got back with Jon then...

Dinner and crashing out with Vino Collapso this evening with Mrs The Egg. Book Honeymoon tomorrow. Quiet night tomorrow night.

On Sunday, big get together for lunch to celebrate a friend's engagement with more wine and hopefully cheesecake.

Monday off to Margam Park for a stroll around, look at recently redecorated wedding venue and (although Mrs TE isn't aware of this) attend the Outdoors and Camping show!

Although I need to fit in some work in there somewhere, I'll do it tanked up on Sunday night. These drawings will make more sense then.
