No Diet options because as we know, they are evil. And no Supermarket own brands or we'll be here all day.

I'll fly against the Hive Mind here and say Coca-Cola. Fentiman's is all right, but nothing really that exciting. I love their D&B, though.

Nooooo, it's not. The bubbles are from the fermentation, as per their ginger beer and lemonade and so on.

Despite wishing I prefered a nice quirky sounding brand, I like Coca-Cola.

Heard this about them today though...

FRANCE: Coca-Cola Enterprises chief commits suicide
25 August 2009 | Source: just-drinks.com editorial team

The head of Coca-Cola Enterprises in France has committed suicide, the soft drinks bottler has said.

Jean-Pierre Bagard "decided to put an end to his days", said Coca-Cola Entreprise yesterday (24 August), announcing the death of its president and CEO.

No further details surrounding Bagard's death were given.

The soft drinks bottler said the entire Coca-Cola Enterprises community around the world has been saddened by the news.

"Our thoughts are with his family, his wife Pascale and his two sons Romain and Alexandre. We are supporting them at this difficult time," said the firm.

Also, what are the bubbles produced by fermentation? Now think to yourself what 'carbonated' means.

"Carbonated" is usually used to refer to something that has had the gas artifically added after the production to make it bubbly, as well you know Craster. You would not refer to champagne as being "carbonated".

Well I would have expected you to come in here and cause trouble. Isn't it enough that you put on a West Ham shirt last night, went down to Upton park and called a group of Millwall supporters "a bunch of fairies"?

I like Fentimans, it's lovely. But, actually I like Diet Coke more as it doesn't taste as sweet and makes a good mixer. Fentimans tastes more like those 'cola bottle' sweets you could buy as a kid (the non-sour ones). I don't like 'Coke', but I like the diet version - to me it tastes better, but you've ruled it out of your poll, so I can't actually vote on what I think is the best tasting cola.

Coca Cola would now be my third choice now.

Once you start drinking Fentimans I found that Pepsi is a nicer day to day substitute. Don't ask me why.

Tried Pepsi Raw again yesterday as Waitrose are flogging it off cheap. It still sucks donkey cock.

Way to read the Hive Mind.

I voted Pepsi because I just bought some for the first time in ages and am enjoying the slight difference in taste. However I usually buy Coca Cola so probably should have voted for it :S

Also, I used to really like Virgin Cola when I was a kid and mummy bought it, but I didn't know it still existed. I wanted to vote for that too.

If you weren't female we'd actually have to ban you.

I often think that criminals should be given the option of prison or the same amount of time free, but with the aftertaste of Diet Coke in their mouth at all times.

Diet Coke doesn't taste like Coke. It tastes all tinny and unpleasant. Coke Zero is much nicer and actually tastes like Coke.

I like Pepsi Raw.

On the whole taste/price combo package though, Coke wins.

And Mimi, I hate to break it to you, but Diet drinks are horrible. I think you may have some sort of taste-related illness. ;)

My employer makes Red Stripe but I always forget to check the price in the staff shop. I don't think it's a particularly startling reduction. Same with the Guinness sadly. :(

I love Red Stripe. It was brewed in fair Bedfordshire, and if you went to the right pub you could drink it when it'd been in the barrel for less than a day.
And they sponsor the Jamaican Bobsled Team :)

I must also break with the Hive Mind... I personally much, much, MUCH prefer Diet Coke to any other Cola.

To be fair though, I can't stand any sugary, fizzy drinks. They all taste far too sweet and they stick to your teeth after consumation - I can drink regular Coke and practically feel my teeth rotting away afterwards.

Diet Coke, on the other hand, is virtually fizzy water with nary a hint of a Cola taste... and for some reason that means I love it.

I must try that Fentimans stuff at some point. I did try Pepsi Raw once and found it to be one of the most vile drinks I'd ever taken a swig of. The rest of the bottle got tipped down the loo.

I haven't tried, or heard of, Red Stripe. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Fentimans is lovely, but I'm not sure I could drink it in the same quantities as the other drinks. Pepsi Raw is nice, and I definitely prefer it over the other colas, but it still isn't anything particularly impressive. Virgin Cola is lovely, from what I remember, but I don't know anywhere within about 20 miles that sells it. As for the others, I don't really prefer any one over another.

Yeah, I was expecting everyone to choose Fentiman's because this forum is full of pretentious twerps. NO OFFENCE!

Malabar, Red Stripe is a Jamaican lager, sold in most shops and supermarkets.
