The missDim has next week off work, so we're going to North Wales at least once.

Babies are usually added as a name in your passport (or at least used to), but since it's France and thus the EU you don't need a passport at all, I'm sure.

Work pub quiz night tonight...

Work then nothing planned for tomorrow night - probably do some writing.

Saturday will be writing followed by drinks at a friend's place whilst watching Eurovision and slagging off all things foreign. Possible stay-up for the Hatton fight.

Sunday will be recovery time, and writing. Have been invited somewhere, but will probably decline.

Monday is more writing, and probably a whole load of CoD/GTA. In fact, that'll be happening on Sunday too.

Goes to show how out of date I am. I still reckon the 'not needing it for france' thing holds though.

Will you have to hold Sam up in one of those photo booths for the picture?

Oddly, I'm currently on the phone trying to find out if he has to be there. It may ruin the surprise somewhat if I have to drag the baby and his food dispenser (ie. the wife) along.

You can get across to France sans passport. Just bring a bunch of photo ID's and do a convincing enough 'rummage around' in your bags and it'll be fine.

Apparently, I just need to go along with his birth certificate and two passport photos, one signed by a 'responsible professional'.
That'll be the chap sitting next to me, then.

In terms of what I'm doing this lovely weekend, I dunno. Work tomorrow, then sitting around I expect. Saturday will probably see me accompanying the gf to pick up a car for a car auction she's doing for work. I really want to get to the timber merchant though and get the architrave I've needed for months. Regardless of whether any of that pans out, I'll probably try to install another door into it's frame, and do a bit more painting and general DIY.

Cheerfully the plumber is here today to reinstall the downstairs loo and also a new sink we bought, shockingly, 6 months ago and are only now getting installed.

I'm sure the queue isn't long on a regular day. I went during the DREADED PASSPORT DEATH WEEK when they messed them up and everyone had to get to Liverpool and wait for eighteen hours for their passports, and ended up only being there for an hour or two, and that was with queues stretching aroudn the building, twice.

You'll be fine.

:)

Friday night going for a Thai meal at one of my favourite restaurants. Man, I love Thai food, especially swilled down with a few bottles of Singha.

Saturday taking my doggie to have some stitches removed, old work mate popping around for a brew in afternoon, then in the evening the choice of begrudgingly attending a Wedding do or staying in for Eurovision, is the Fight on normal TV? If so I'll stay up for it.

Sunday & Monday try to get a Barbeque in if weather is nice with some GTA4 for long periods.

My weekend sorta begins at 5pm today, as I'm not at work tomorrow. The reason I'm not at work tomorrow is because I have a job interview, which is a bit scary as I REALLY want it, so wish me luck. If I get it, I will be moving to Manchester in a month! eek.

Friday night = Saul Williams @ Leeds HiFi Club (with Mr Marsh joining me for this, hurrah)

Sunday night = Anti Pop Consortium @ Leeds Brudenell Club

Monday night = Public Enemy, Anti Pop Consortium & Dr Octagon @ Manchester Academy (with Mr & Mrs Marsh joining me for this, double hurrah)

Most day times spent doing Uni work and writing a presentation that I have to do at work Tue/Wed, but there is talk of a trip to the seaside on Saturday! Hurrah!

I've just been to KFC, as I've only eaten from there once before. I bought a Wrapstar. It was quite nice. And I like that it has 'ranch' dressing, which is omnipresent in the US, and which I miss a bit (see also: Cool Original flavour Doritos, except eeurgh, no).

I also bought the newest issues of Retrogamer and 360 (which I bought two days ago and thought okay and rather useful in view of The Site We're Doing, if rather light on actual reviews, and high on redundancies and repetition).

I also bought: Viva Pinata, Flatout: Ultimate Carnage, Prey, Top Spin 2, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Bullet Witch, PGR 3 (really? I don't remember picking that up. Hmm), Perfect Dark Zero and Shadowrun. All for the 360 (I decided I shall get a Wii again next summer, but doubtfully before).

I am now watching the HD version of Shaun of the Dead (hint: looks exactly like the DVD version, has all the extras on one disc), and eating Turkish Delight Dairy Milk.

Bring it on.

My weekend starts in 16 minutes. With any luck I'll be listening to my new Kate Bush, Canned Heat and Dresden Dolls CDs. In the sun. At least until noisy car monday. :munkeh:

Good luck with that mate! Got my fingers crossed for you. Also, I remember the HiFi club! I last went there when I was a librarian with Caroline, if you remember her.

Cheers Zardoz! I always thought the interviewee was supposed to go into the interview naked? Isn't this right? Maybe this is why I haven't got the jobs for the last few interviews I've attended...
