20th Anniversary, Celebratory boxset of doom.

Priced at £100 , this is how Warp are celebrating their twentieth anniversary. Admittedly some of it is nice, new mixes a la Warp 10+3 and some previously unreleased stuff including Elecktroids and Boards of Canada (but no RDJ). I would like to have seen some of the mixes separated out into independant standalone releases rather than being confined to the box set.

That's a major dilemma for me. I love Warp. I love 10" records, too. But £100 is ridiculous and, along with stuff like the Stone Roses and Beatles box sets, displays the labels' intent to scalp the few of us who still buy physical albums for all we have.

Sad bugger that I am, I pre-ordered for the 15% discount. Just have to tell myself, yes, it is worth £85.....
