Right! I need to complete Halo 3 on Legendary, and some other people do as well. I'm off work for a WHOLE WEEK next week, but I'm happy to do it at the weekend or whenever anyone else wants to join in.

I'm pretty sure more than four people expressed an interest in this, and I suppose it doesn't matter if you've already done it, because it'll be fun! All are welcome, and I'd be happy (and I'm sure others would be) to go through the same levels more than once to get everyone involved. Am I right in thinking that we can do it stage by stage, say completing two levels one night and coming back and doing another few, etc.?

I'm also looking to get all of TEH SKULLS and the other things you have to find (big computer consoles IIRC), so people who know where those things are would be helpful!

So, who's up for the first session, and when do you want to do it? Don't worry if you can't make the first date, because as I said, I'd be happy to have a few goes at this, seeing as it's supposed to be ace fun in co-op.

There'll be free Rocket Racing available in the club house after we've completed at least one stage on Legendary.

I've still to go through on M4D L337 M0D3, I've found all the skulls (fucked if I can remember where half of them are though :D) & still need the terminals.

Yeah. Just make sure you finish it in Chapters. I can't remember the locations of all the skulls though, and you need an Dimrill or an Dave to do the Musical Hoops sequence. Their whorage is legendary.

Psh, don't rely on him to know where to go. That was always Dimrills/my job. Zardoz generally wandered around lost crying for mummy.

I haven't played halo in a long time but if you see me online and have space I'd be more than happy to join in.

That musical hoop skull is awesome, though collecting it is nearly as elaborate as a Curly-Wurly!

This is exactly why I want to play it. I've just looked on Xbox.com and I last played it in January. 2008. Feels like a bit of a waste to just complete it on Normal and leave it, especially as everyone harps on about how much fun it is in co-op.

It's fun however you want to play it.

I am also up for this if I'm online at the time. Don't forget you have to sit through the stupid intro sequence ('Arrival') on Legendary too as it seems to count as a level.

I played Halo 3 for about an hour on easy and got bored when I couldn't get passed a bit - and I'm quite positive that "an hour" for me is 15 minutes of anything else's time. I've not booted it up since.

So, er, probably not me.

I predict that after pages and pages of Jonarob saying how ace Halo 3 is, Bik and Nickachu will finally get it and play it. Then they'll arrange to play and Jonarob won't turn up. Then Jonarob will start playing Halo 2 instead.

Hello.

Here is a stupid question about Halo 3 multiplayer online.

Why am I unable to play certain types of games? If I select some of them I get a message saying 'one or more players do not have the required maps', or something. How do I get the latest map set so I can play all the options listed?

You need to pay for the expansion packs. There's two that cost monies, one is 600 points one is 800. I haven't bothered yet. You can still play some game modes, but not all.

Also, I've just got half way through the first level on Legendary by myself. It has taken me well over an hour. Is it meant to take this long? I've died about 50 times. The enemies are too good. Has anyone actually completed it on Legendary in solo mode? Was it a slog, or am I just shit?

Attempting Legendary by yourself is akin to masturbating with a cheese grater; painful and not to be recommended.

When I got the game, I had finished both the original games on Heroic and, now that achievements were at stake, went for it on Legendary. I eventually (after spending my entire first evening with it swearing) managed to complete the first two levels on Legendary. I then switched back to Heroic to avoid smashing my controller into tiny pieces.

I think that Legendary has always been intended for co-op play, even in the original games.

Anyway, when is this great adventure taking place? While I can play tomorrow, I'll need to go to bed about 9pm... Friday night would be better as I could stay up later. Yes.

Legendary Co-op on Halo 2 was not the same as Halo 3. If one of you died, you had to go back to the last checkpoint (like playing with the Iron Skull on Halo 3 Coop) So it was like the single player, but with twice the risk.

Dave: Yeah, but at least with two of you that was twice the firepower concentrated on the really hateful foes of Halo 2 like the jetpack exoskeleton guys and the endless swarms of insectmen. Blimey, there were some damned annoying bits in Halo 2.

Robajon: I vote Friday.

Do you have the grater facing so it takes off skin on the upstroke or downstroke?

Will do! I've been deathmatching a bit on my own actually, because there are loads of 'cheevs in there I haven't got too. I feel that with ODST coming out, now is probably the time to get the achievements mopped up before everyone migrates to the new thing.

Won't people be able to cross-play between both games? Seems silly otherwise.

I've actually been looking for some info on this, but I can't seem to find anything. Like, are they going to merge into one big game kinda thing? It was meant to be an expansion pack at first, but now it's a standalone game. Anybody know anything we don't?
