...to post a vidgame from A to B within the UK? I'm sending a game I'm done with over to a mate and know some of you chaps do likewise. I don't fancy wasting a lunchtime queueing at the post-office just to find out the correct postage. (I got sun to soak up.)

First class for a game in a large-ish jiffy bag is usually about 90p, so 3 stamps should be more than enough.

Won't the royal mail website tell you based on weight? You can even print the postage off! Never done it myself mind...

Aye but I'd just be guessing.

A copy of The Orange Box in a padded envelope is 143g on my jewellery scales.

Large letter size up to 250g in weight is 90p. Three 2nd class stamps at 30p each will be exactly right if you have any around, or it will still take three of the 39p 1st class stamps if you don't have any 2nd class.

Except it's not The Orange Box, rendering the figures INVALID :p

Seriously though, thanks Mimi -- scientific method FTW!

I went for the Orange Box because it has a fairly large booklet. Game discs (as long as it is a single disc game, and as you were asking for a specfic item I'd assume you'd say it was a double disc) and cases all weigh the same, so the variation is in the weight of the booklet. Choosing the one with the largest booklet that came to mind to weight should have given a fair idea, but as it weighed in at 143g and had more than 100g before reaching the next weight/price limit meant that you could safely assume that no booklet was going to be so large that it would weigh 107g more than the booklet of The Orange Box.

Therefore I stand by my result.

:p

Mimi's turning into Gaywood! I'm surprised we didn't get a graph with that post.
