I didn't know they did this. I need some more MS points, shopto were almost the cheapest (£15.85 for 2100, £30.85 for 4200), and they had the Ghostbusters Bluray for a tenner so I used them. Seconds later, my phone beeps with the XBox live codes for the points, and I have a copy in my email too for cut&pasting onto the Xbox website. That's very neat.

Did they use 118800?

Seriously though, that's a good tip, considering the rantage of earlier.

It's a good way to get points in a hurry. All the other bottom-feeder sellers of these things I've seen only promise to send them through within 24 hours or so, and are usually (I suspect) one guy working out of his garage.

Yeah, and it's a garage with a very large pile of hastily ripped open plastic cases accumulating in the middle of the floor.

Your new way is better. Must be.

They get them as cardboard cards, if I remember rightly. So no plastic cases rippage.

It's my mental image. They actually come in individual 30 tonne fireproof safes with a combination lock. And they post the combination separately. In a plastic DVD case.

Is this the cheapest way to get them?

I was gonna ask, how the fuck does some guy in his garage get codes direct from MS?

Pretty much, yeah. £15 for 2100 points is typically the cheapest rate you'll see.

Direct probably not but MS have UK distributors, they probably buy them like any retail outlet do

If I had to guess, UK based ones may well be going through http://www.gem.co.uk/index/

Yeah, any cheaper than £15 is "Buy now because they are going to go out of stock soon" pricing.

Seems to be out of stock? Or do you need to sign up before you can see if it's available?

2100 points cards look out of stock to me. 4200 points aren't.
