I'm doing a charity drumming attempt in a couple of weeks time and I thought I'd post here to see how many of you kind people would like to sponsor me!

There's going to be 600 people all drumming at the same time at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham and the money raised is going towards the MS scociety.. a worthy cause I think you'll agree.

Take a look at my just giving page and that'll tell you some more!

http://www.justgiving.com/ross-taylor

Cheers people! I appreciate any support... Even moral support is good!

I would have taken my electronic kit but they can't accomodate those so it's a simple rock kit set up that I'll be taking. My Mapex kit which has done me proud for many a year!!

My mum has MS, so give him some money. I'll skip the middleman and buy her some flowers or something.

Are you all going to be playing the same song or just bashing randomly?

-edit- I could stop being lazy and read your page, but I'm not gonna.

According to the Guiness book of records, we all have to play the same drum beat for at least 5 minutes.. Once we've done that, we go for the big finish which I expect will last just as long!!

Surely a hearing related charity would be more appropriate :DD
Make sure you take a decent set of plugs dude.

Perhaps some sort of drumming based sponsored activity would be more appropriate.

It amazes me how many people have been touched by MS. I had no idea it was so prevalent in so many lives until I signed up to do this event.

I'm glad I'm doing it and doing my bit!

Yesterday I did it! Me and a ton of other drummers broke the world record for "largest full drum kit ensemble" at the NIA in Birmingham! Thanks tons to EVERYONE who sponsored me. I raised £270.54 for the MS society which I think you'll agree, is a great amount for little old me!

The day went without a hitch and very well organised for what on paper, should have been a logistical nightmare!

The money is still being counted from the day but I heard it could be in excess of 20 grand so a big round of applause to everyone involved!! I've put some pictures up if you'd like to take a look here

My sponsorship form will still be open for a few weeks too so if anyone is feeling flush, you can donate here

Yoink... Remember this world record breaking drumming attempt?

I've just found out that they're doing it again in July but this time in Manchester and are aiming for over 800 drummers.

Damn straight I'm going to do it again! Two time world record holder has a nice ring to it don't you think?
