I wouldn't have thought they can take any action against you specifically if you say no, but I guess if the majority say no, they'll say "well we'll cut jobs instead then".

Wise man once said to MaliA "When it comes to contracts, and the other party wishes to renegotiate what you've previously agreed, don't. You'll end up worse off".

However, I guess when it comes to things like this, then other factors become more important.

A family from Oldham have been bombarded with phone calls from Soulja Boy fans after the rapper inadvertently featured their number in his recent song, Kiss Me Thru the Phone.
ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
"It's easy to understand that, isn't it? When you look at me, I've got the perfect profile for a rapper," joked 54-year-old Oldham native Gerry Matley. His wife, Catriona Smith, said: "They have asked if I am his girlfriend but I think I am a bit too old, even for Soulja Boy."

According to the couple, theirs is the 12-digit number that features in the opening lines of Kiss Me Thru the Phone, which reached No 6 in the UK charts in May. The number is ex-directory, and the couple have no idea how it came to feature in the song of a 18-year-old rapper from Atlanta. "It's like winning the lottery, but we haven't got any money for it."

Despite receiving calls around the clock, sometimes as late as 3am, the couple have reacted to the bizarre event with good humour. "One of my daughter's friends thinks he's living in the loft," said Smith.

There has been no comment from Soulja Boy as to why the couple's number appears in his song or whether he has a particular fondness for Oldham.
Made me laugh.

No, it means the server is down. Grim... usually fixes it quickly.

And it will fix itself after a certain amount of time.
I'll find out what causes it one day.

Phew. I thought I'd got a bad virus thing.

Also, whenever I ask the computer to visit a site which is very picture heavy, or Ubuntu updates, the connection drops. Is this to do with my wireless card, and the signal strength not being up to much (it's usually less than 10%, commonly about 5%), and will the router Sky sent me make it better?

I'm going through a country and western phase at the moment, and wish to be in a C+W abnd, so I'll need the clothes.

I also found out that if you listen to the songs backwards, your truck works, your girlfriend comes back, and your dog resurrected.

Awful story. But why do people act as if the RSPCA has any legally-granted ability to investigate anything? Mostly the RSPCA does this, and their "officers" apparently regulalry misrepresent that they have legal powers to enter premises and suchlike. It doesn't help when the *police* at liek they do too. If someone's committed a crime by leaving the animals there, it's for the police to investigate. All the RSPCA can do is bring a private prosecution.

But the RSPCA is far more interested in pretending to be police officers and getting on the telly than actually helping animals - I've heard of quite a few cases of peopel calling the RSPCA when they see injured wild animals and suchlike and the RSPCA just responds "not our remit".

Cunts.

I recall reading about this sort of thing before, but not sure if it was from you, or if it was in Private Eye, or somewhere else.

Ridge Racer 7 is FUCKING BEAUTIFUL. It runs in 1080p and at 60fps and has stunning views that go on for miles.

I don't care that the polygon count on the cars isn't in the schmillions it's fucking gorgeous and anyone that doesn't think so has eye-wrongness.

Now I am near the end it seems less cheaty than RR6 as well. At least allowing you to buy nitrous before a race starts.
