OK as you probably noticed :) I brought myself that Alienware ALX case last thursday.

On the auction it said "usually ships within 2 days of cleared* payment.

I emailed them the day I won the auction asking whom it was shipping with because I need to keep a watch out on delivery day due to my location. I usually have to go outside and flag down the driver. They didn't respond.

I sent another question on monday asking the same thing and I got a response. It said -

Quote:
Hi..

This will be shipped via our courier service.
The cases will ship direct from our Ireland warehouse, via ARAMEX and will require a signature

Thanks,

So I wait, and I wait... Yesterday morning I dared ask the question of when it would be shipped and I haven't had a reply.

So basically I'm starting to get a little worried as you can imagine. £145 isn't exactly a fortune but it is a lot of money (to me especially).

I have tried to contact one of their positive feedbacks to see how long their computer took to arrive but Ebay doesn't let you contact anyone you're not in a transaction with so I can't even do that.

So do you think I should start panicking or I am just being excitedly impatient?

Just sent this. And I forgot to mention that they told me they were going to contact the warehouse on tues. No reply.

Hello there. I sent a question three days ago asking when my item would be shipped. Apparently it's coming from Ireland. You replied saying that you would need to contact the Ireland warehouse to check. I have heard nothing. I asked again yesterday morning the same question and I still have not had a reply. Your auction said that the item would be shipped within 2 business days. It has now been a full week since I won and paid for my item and I still do not have a tracking number nor confirmation of shipment. As you can probably understand £145 for a computer case is a lot of money and I am growing rather concerned.

Thanks

oops forgot the *

Could this mean that they are waiting for the money to transfer from paypal into their bank account?

That should be automatic as soon as they press transfer though. Of course, if they were it heightens suspiciousness for me, as PayPal would have nowhere to go to refund your pennies if their account was empty. :S

They're going to bilk you and you're screwed. The root cause is that you marked yourself out as an easy scam by being willing to pay £145 for a PC case.

Nice post thanks I appreciate that. At least I'm not one of the cunts whose paid £1100 for a computer.

Hey, I paid £1200 for Macbook.

John, I doubt they are scamming you. They are more likely being slow and rubbish. You used to be able to convince Ebay to give you a phone number; see if you can do that, or google the company to find a phone number that way.

Good, glad to see you've got a sense of humour about it.

I've rarely paid that for a *car*.

They're just being slow, matey - not scamming you.

EDIT - it's "who's", by the way.

Well when I transfer cash it takes a bloody week to show up in Lloyds, sometimes two !

That's why I thought that maybe they put in the word cleared, IE - in our account so you can't cancel the transfer. Would have made sense.. But then with 2201 feedbacks since last Sept I guess they shift a massive ammount of stuff.

I'm probably being impatient. I suppose I'm spolied by online buying because it usually ships same day.

Mind you saying that I ordered some films, game and power cable for my radio and all of them took over a week to get her (fair play to the films they came from Rhode Island USA).

Finally. This actually makes sense because in one of the pictures you can see that they have no boxes. Also remembered that Dell/Alienware is in Ireland so the earlier mail makes sense. I would imagine Dell just drop all the stuff off there and the AWs didnt have boxes.

Quote:
Hi..

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. IT seems the packing for these chassis had not turned up in time to have them boxed and dispatched, our supplier let us down, We are trying to resolve this issue and get the item sent to you ASAP. I have a call with them in the morning, and will give you and update

Thanks for your patience,
