The Xbox Originals service has been rebranded to Games On Demand on Xbox.com. This will soon expand to include older 360 games, they announced at E3 (but we haven't discussed here). Want to bet they'll cost, oooh, twice the price of a preowned from Gamestation?

Fair enough if people have large enough HDDs/wallets to want to do this, but I'm happy with my discs at the moment, thanks. Plus I can get rid of them whenever I want to.

Hopefully the prices will be decent. If I can get a physical copy of something for peanuts, I won't buy a digital one for any more money.

I bet MS wishing they'd sold large hard disks from the off (can't seeing them selling many upgrades to bigger disks). Seems a shame I can only fit two games (+shit) on my 20GB disk but I'm not going to upgrade until my XBOX fails proper (it must be out of warranty by now). Having a nice 120GB would be pretty sweet though!

120GB is still too small if you want several games, though. I won't upgrade my hard disk until the prices come down significantly - that much for 120GB in this age is scandalous.

My 120Gb is full! But I do have, umm, 17 games ripped to it I think. Perhaps a little excessive.

I don't have any ripped to mine at the moment and I have about 85GB free. I should probably install some.

I ripped Top Spin 3 last night to see if the initial panning of the courses would get any less choppy. It didn't help.

I was wondering if it'd fix that. Shame.

The only Xbox/360 games I'd download would be ones that have become particularly rare and costly to get hold of at at the moment, I can't think of anything that fits that criteria. Although Goozex does have Shenmue 3 listed for the Xbox.. I'd download that.

If I didn't buy it back then why would I buy it now for more money and in an untradeable state?

Why?

Also: My 120g HD is getting very full, time to wipe some older game rips.

I wonder if they would change the firmware to let you run 360 off an external HDD for this. If the size of capacity vs available space issue inhibits people from downloading the old 360 games, then they might give in on raping us on harddrive prices.
