Sometime ago someone posted a rather amusing video of three teenagers playing "through fire and flames". I wanted to show that to my brother-in-law, and by searching for it, i came across these:

The first one is a rather depressing version of "the final countdown". Not only there's no one in the audience, but the keyboard sound is quite eerie.

In this rendition of "smells like teen spirits" the singer has some problems taking her jacket off, as you can see at 0:18, but that's just the beginning

The 3rd one isn't that bad, but the singer dancing moves are too good to be ignored

That is extraordinary. From the Stylophone doubling as a keyboard through to the lead singer doing his own backing vocals, the entire thing is just genius.

I predict these lads will be The Darkness for 2009.

That is simply genius...the music is a strange hybrid of King Missile and Lard.

That Kiss one almost had me on the floor. Then I watched the Iron Maiden one (Iron Maiden shred) and had to use my inhaler and lie down (no joke). I played it to some students today and they didn't even understand what was going on.

Awesome stuff.

Funny that original Nirvana clip still works for me.
You can have this instead, I actually found the album to this at a bootsale at the weekend.
The real 'Beast or bust' Beatles cover.

I've had to watch it at least 3 or 4 times a day now. My favourite bit is the "Jazz Jazz Jazz Jazz guitar for few, Batman Jazz!" bit.

Its not just pop songs that get covered badly, here is a bizarre English version of the opening theme to
Doraemon.

How it should sound.

If that's what the last one is, that's similarly been killed.
