Is deliberately having too much cheese (to get trippy dreams) taking drugs?

I eat (extra) strong cheddar all the time, especially before bed and I haven't had a nightmare since 1992 - when I didn't eat cheese as regularly.

Cheese rocks!

God I fucking love cheese. The one thing I miss like mad since cutting back. Funnily enough my smaller stomach and lack of acid reflux indicate it's some bad shit man.

But cheese is lovely. Considering the amount I used to eat when a veggie I should be 40 stone and have had mad dreams every night. I can't have gone the full cheese.

I love cheese, but not blue cheese. My favourite is Cathedral City. Mmm, Cathedral City.

Hungry now, huh?

I love all cheese. I can be a bit of a cheese snob, but not about Cathedral City. Man, I don't know how they make overproduced mass-market cheddar so damned delicious.

Cheese is awesome. The stronger the better.

Made my own batch of savory cheese sarnies this morning using Extra Mature Cheddar, Mozzarella, Spring Onions, Red Pepper, Salad Cream and Black pepper. All thickly dolloped on wholemeal bread.

Yummo.

I've still been too scared to try more than a tiny bit of cheese yet.

It gives it a zing that mayonnaise cant match.

Yep, it'd give it a nice vinegary tang. That sounds yummy actually - can you post me one?

I love cheese as well though there are some I don't like - the one that looks like a roulade with soft white cheese and tonnes of garlic I don't like as I find it too acidic and metallic tasting.

Give me a stinky room temp dolcelatte (sp?) with a nice bottle of port and I'd probably purr.

Is it cow's milk/lactose intolerance or simply a hangover from a childhood phobia?
If it's the former there are some delicious goat and ewe cheeses out there.

Tuna-saladcreme is better than tuna-mayo, too.

If it's the former there are some delicious goat and ewe cheeses out there.

Milk protein (caseine), of which tons is found in all types of cheese, yoghurt, etc. I used to have really bad (as in life-threatening) anaphylactic shock within minutes of having just a small amount of milk or milk-related stuff. I didn't touch it for years, but I'm slowly weaning myself onto it now as it doesn't seem to affect me any longer.

That's understandable then :)

Is it the same for goat's and ewe's cheese as well?

Yep, all animals' cheese has caseine in it. It's mainly protein, after all.

We have cheese, pate and crackers nights sometimes. It's a wonder we still fit through our front door.

I do not like cheese either, except for very specific circumstances.

I like mild cheddar in a sandwich with 1 or more of the following: tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce.

I like mild cheddar melted on some toast.

I also like Dairylea and (to a lesser degree) mini babybell, but I doubt that's considered real cheese.

That is it.
