I'm feeling the need for some Dreamcast loving, so please recommend me do some awesome games that I haven't got.

I have:

Shenmue
Toy Racer
Planet Ring (whatever that is, never loaded it)
Soul Calibur
Crazy Taxi
Power Stone
Rayman 2
Ready 2 Rumble Boxing
MSR
Chu-Chu Rocket
Sonic Adventure
Skies of Arcadia

I like all genres - so long as the games themselves are good - so please, RMD!

-Power Stone 2
-Marvel Vs Capcom 2 (The rule with Capcom stuff is to wait for #2... see Street Fighter, Resi' Evil and then don't think about it any more than that because it's probably not going to stand up to any further scrutiny. But yes, PS2>PS and MVC2>MVC. Significantly.)
-Bangai-O
-The King Of Fighters '99 Evolution (if you can get it to run -- it never saw a PAL release).

Some stuff is nice but redundant: Ikaruga is on Xbox Live Arcade, you might as well grab Dead Or Alive Ultimate on Xbox as Dead Or Alive 2 on DC and, while I'd still maintain that Dragons(sic) Blood is a neat lil' hack 'n' slasher, Oblivion encompasses and exceeds it to such a ridiculous degree that the very comparison feels dastardly. Dynamite Cop -- well better scrolling beat-em-ups than Dynamite Cop must've surfaced on intervening platforms (ones that actually scroll fer starters... The Red Star, anyone?) And if you can regress back to how things were done for Code Veronica then the PS2 version is still a better bet.

Shooters don't light my fire particularly so I can't comment on how remarkable Giga Wing is or isn't, but it's solid enough I suppose; Shenmue 2 fills me with "meh" but, hey, you get Space Harrier etc; Ferrari F355 Challenge is... challenging and you're left looking towards the PS2 again.

Had the DC been region free it would've been far more exciting -- to this day I dare not peruse the import market for fear of overpriced enticements and I thank the good laird for my non-shooty persuasion. However, as a PAL prospect, the list of releases that are both decent and unique to the machine is encouragingly modest so you've a fair chance of acquiring everything worth having.

there's a bit of learning curve (and slight language barrier) but the most fun I had on the DC was Bomber Hehhe.

It's a puzzle game where you plant explosives to take down giant structures.

Crazy Taxi 2 is pretty good for the challenge missions. Shenmue 2 is better than Shenmue but I still got a bit bored of it.

Cannon Spike's passable fun but there really doesn't seem that much worth playing on Dreamcast now without getting into obscure imports etc.

Tokyo Bus Guide can provide some amusement but mainly because it's nigh on impossible.

Enjoy a video of someone actually managing to play it

But shit for the new city. The best city remains the 'Original' (which is to say, created specifically for) city in the Dreamcast version.

It's not that hard! As long as you know how to drive IRL and think like a bus driver would think you'll figure it out pretty quickly.

The easily produced boot discs made it such. Or you could even ("purchase from a shop" -Ed.) a region-decoded ("legitimate copy" -Ed.) and save yourself needing the boot disc at all.

So if you see a car approaching you pull out?

Does the game have bendy busses so you can straddle two lanes and terrify all other road users?

Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2. I have no idea why that got under my skin so much, but it really, really did.

Vanishing Point. It's no damned good but I challenge you to do all the, uhh, challenges. Or was that on Xbox1?

Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 is the same as Tokyo Highway Challenge 2 right? It's really actually rather good and atmospheric. Somehow. Vanishing point was on Xbox, PS1 and Dreamcast I think..

I found it impossible to get past about 20 seconds into Tokyo Bus Guide.

Yes, same game. I adore it. Love it to bits. Totally completed it, raced every opponent, unlocked the boss car (a Fairlady Z / Datsun 240Z). No racing game since has come even remotely close to the atmpsphere of it.

It was the DC version I swore at, I think.

Tokyo Highway Challenge 2 was a game I paid £35 for because I loved the first one. Next week it was readily available for £10. :(

It wasn't your typical high adrenaline racer that's for sure

I pirated it, which is why I call it TXR2. I had an original Jap import of TXR1 (my first Dreamcast was a Jap import model, a v1 with heat pipe cooling).

Ok, have ordered:

Tokyo Extreme Racer 2
DOA 2 (Which comes with PSO)
Tokyo Bus Guide - Just because I'd love to be an ass-hole bus driver
Marvel vs Capcom 2
Mars Matrix
Powerstone 2

May consider the others. Except Ikaruga which I have on the 360 and is just too fucking hard to be any fun.

Were there any Darkstalkers releases on the DC?

What was the name of that game where you could drive an arctic lorry and you were hurled from the cab out through the windscreen if you crashed?

Thrill drive or something?

That was just an absolute scream when linked up :)

Daytona USA 2001! But you need a wheel, it's almost unplayable on the pad.

I had a god-awful boot-disc, to begin with, that ran imports at 50Hz! Fortunately one of the covermounts of our resident DC mag at The Palace did the job properly -- for reference it was the Exclusive Xploder CD from issue 17 of Dreamcast Magazine. Very handy.

That's probably because it wasn't very good. Jet Set Radio Future however is genius and I wish I could get it to work on my 360.

I found it more playable if you turned the sensitivity on the pad right down as far as it would go.

You have to play through Seaman once. Without a guide or spoilers. It's amazing.

Other than that, look at Capcom. I bought every Dreamcast game Capcom released in the US and there were very few shit games amongst them. Giga Wing and Gunbird 2 are all kinds of awesome. And Cannon Spike. And no doubt others I'm forgetting. Mars Matrix!

Another properly ace but overlooked game was Sports Jam.

It was a multi-event sports thing that covered baseball, basketball, football (real and American) and a few other things. A real joy to play in multiplayer.

The two golf mini-games were excellent and will make you wish they'd made a full golf game out of them.

Also good = Dead or Alive 2 (so much better than DOA4 on the 360).

We had a DC at work. For sheer fun we recommend.

House of the dead 2: especially for ropey voice acting and is still fun even if you don't have the gun with it.
Powerstone 2: loads of fun but it seems that you're getting this.
Worms World Party.
Resident Evil Code Veronica.

I didn't think Thrill Drive had console releases? Or do you mean in the arcade? Or a different game altogether? And is an arctic lorry one that carries frozen food?
