I just held up a glass of vodka to the screen and read the text through it, and it makes perfect sense, so I think it's the former. Also, this should help.

I was on th e computer, not the DSi browser, I just bumped my head. I asume that was what made me lose my sense.

Okie Blokie, got this working in the end. Couldn't read the pretend English instructions (well, I couldn't at the time, they might make total sense now) and watched the video in silence because the football was on, also video was in PC language, not mac, so had no idea (again, would probably make sense now I am not affected by sun...) but it all came good.
Video had a disk - I had no disk, having got a version without a disk because I have a 'suck it and see' drive that would probably send me hate mail if I tried and put a tiny disk in it. But I found a website in little letters on the packaging, went to that to download gubbins, stuck it on tiny fingernail sized card thing then put games in a little folder, and it works.
It is ugly as sin in regards to the menus and stuff, and it makes a little visible secondary file of 4K for a couple of the titles for seemingly no reason, but hey, it works, and I can change the background of the menus easily enough.
Now I have to try and find some games that my sister will like.
Oh, and it works fine with the DSi, too.
