Good, but don't let it slow down my network for playing games, as that is what I bought a 360 for. Kthxbai.

"Xbox Live users will also be able to watch Sky content together virtually, chatting over the broadband connection, and sending messages via their avatars, or virtual personas."

That could be interesting for our Bezzie Watching Old Films and Drinking Scheme that we never did.

In general I'm interested too, if it allows you to get on-demand telly without a monthly subscription.

It's almost as if Murdoch's minions have been reading BEEX and have nicked the idea.

Microsoft and Sky have announced a deal to provide Sky TV on Xbox 360, via the Sky Player online TV service. The service will launch in the UK and Ireland this autumn.

The channel and content line-up has yet to be confirmed, but Sky expects to offer movies, Premier League football, Test Match cricket, entertainment shows, documentaries, and kids, music and arts programming. There will be both live TV and on-demand streaming services.

Free for Sky customers, apparently. Dunno how they're going to sync gamertags to Sky accounts, though. I suspect possibly Sky Broadband will be a requirement.

It hasn't for me over the last 18 months. In fact, it's been the best internet connection I've ever had.
