Quackery shop invites questions. Car crash ensues.

It is brilliant isn't it?
Fills you with hope.
I was giggling about it all day yesterday.

Oh and if you start to feel sorry for them remember they were caught selling homepathic cure for malaria. And their wrists were slapped and were asked to stop selling it, you know rather than being chucked in jail.

Years ago my cat had an ulcer on its eye and over the course of a few months I took it to a few different vets and paid for a few different remedies, none of which worked. Then eventually I contacted a homeopath, who without charging anything suggested dripping cucumber juice in they eye. Guess what - the ulcer was gone within a couple of weeks. Done without any scientific proof, but the cat appreciated it all the same.

The Popbitch lot piled in yesterday. Not as hilarious as when they troll the comments sections on obscure local newspapers.

Shame. They do an astonishingly good selection of cheese.

My favourite comment so far:

Quote:
my bus has crashed - I've got a compound fracture in my right leg, the bone is sticking out from under the skin and is wedged into the 'Used Tickets' receptacle, my skull has had a good old thump against the seat in front and is impersonating a boiled egg after the first thump with the teaspoon, and my ribs have been broken into bits like a packet of smokey bacon crisps someone has stood on.

What herbs and aromatic oils would you recommend?

That had me laughing like a loon. :D

I saw this yesterday after Dr Lave tweeted the link to it.

Supoib. Here's hoping that The Guardian gets sufficiently annoyed with the cowardice of the company and does some sort of expose on their quackery.

But not their cheese!

Also, points and laughs at the pedant who tried to say it should be 'Neil's Yard' Remedies. The fact that the company was started on a street in London called 'Neals Yard' is obviously wrong, then, is it?

We need a new one of those. The custard story was lolsome, even more so when Metro covered the pisstake the following day, with more column inches (on page 3, no less) than the original story got in the local paper.

Heh, the Guardian comments are usually fairly annoying, but just occasionally...

@ all

have just had a chat with NYR.

Unfortunately, despite previous assurances that they would be participating in this blog post, I've now been told they 'will not be taking part in the debate'.

So yes, as several people have pointed out, this has become something of 'You Ask', rather than a 'You Ask, They Answer'. I'm still hoping NYR will reconsider.

Shock.

It's like this place, except with more bumming and no threads. More like twitter meets a forum.

Not worth paying the joining fee to post. Just lurk.

It's been basically the same since the dawn of time. No idea why. You become used to it.
