If you've got a flashcard/microSD card thingy and can be arsed putting SCUMMVM DS onto, that opens up a world of possibilities. Otherwise you could try Another Code: Two Memories and the Phoenix Wright games (sorta).

On the 360 there's the Penny Arcade games, but I don't know how good they are (or aren't).

The Penny Arcade games aren't point and click, they're more like a really low-rent version of Eternal Sonata or any other JRPG you'd care to mention. And there's far too much combat.

SCUMMVM does a lot of good games (Amazon Queen in particular I think she'd enjoy)

Failing that, there's always Dreamfall and Fahrenheit on the Xbox originals, though the latter in particular is a bit heavy on the QTEs. I pummeled my poor controller half to death.

What you'd really want would be something that ran SCUMMVM and an SCI editor, as that opens the doors to both SCUMMVM's library and also Sierra's later point n' click (which is to say, parser free) stuff which includes the later Space, King's and Police Quest games.

Fahrenheit is excellent, and she could always play it on easy.

There's also the Sam & Max and Strong Bad episodic games on the Wii/PC; Strong Bad is supposed to be the better of the two series but I dunno if it might be a bit in-jokey if you're not familiar with the original web cartoon?

Would definitely echo myp's recommendation to get SCUMMVM set up on the DS though (although PC might be the better option if possible as you can use voice acting files which the DS didn't support last time I looked).

Zack and Wiki for the wii. The game has got arcade-like structure so you can just concentrate on the level you're playing and not be worried about the flow. And there's a 2 player mode where the second player can wave the remote around to give tips. It gets very hard later on though.

Zack & Wiki drove me round the bend on later levels so i don't think she'd tolerate that! If the sam and max games are available on wii ware they would probably be ideal. I'll give SCUMM a whirl too, but not to be too patronising, it has to be pretty user friendly, as other than turtles arcade on XBLAH, she won't usually play any game at all.
