Just to say, I found out yesterday that I'm going to be a grandad. Meh! News of great awesomeness, I just need to buy some proper old geezer stuff now, like a pair of bifocal semi-specs that hang around my neck on a weird cable thingy and/or some driving gloves.

Seriously though, I can't wait! :) :) :)

Congratulations, Cavey!

I can point you in the direction of some sensibly priced cardigans and tweed.

Teen Angel #2 will be lucky to EVER even wrest her own baby from her mum's arms, if I know my wife!

Yay! I won't be the only grandparent on here any more, that doesn't make me feel so old. :)

Fantastic news Cavey, it really is much more fun than having your own, Chloe has just learned to say "taxi", she was singing nursery rhymes to me and Joans at 4.30am Tuesday morning and all we could do was laugh at her! Oops! :DD

Hey, thanks Jasmine. And anyway, who says we're old!! Cheeky blighters. :)

I love kids and just know that I'm going to absolutely dote on him/her. Pretty soon the old farm will be full of happy, squealing little people at this rate; can't wait for Christmases to come. Time to get the spray tinsel and flashing reindeers out I say!

Thanks guys. :)

Hey - Silver Surfer was always my fave Super Hero. I could get used to that moniker, I've been called worse. Although 'Bald Surfer' might be more accurate...

Heh. Does make me smile though; I'm 42 and still feel as young as I ever have (and am just as childish as ever), yet I guess that is pretty ancient compared to most of you peeps. I still run 10km every day pretty much and am in good shape for a vintage model. Oh well, when I was in the war and got gassed etc./you don't know you're born you bloody beatniks etc. etc. /waves walking stick impotently and ineffectually at Jonarob :D

That's pretty snappy work. My mum was a grandma at 45 and I thought that was pretty young.

There's something to be said for having kids young. (there's equally something to be said for waiting too mind) Being able to

Congratulations.

Just avoid the cardies and Volvos (or stand next to Mr Chris) to keep your youthful appearance
