Just been cleaning my car for the first time in a couple of years and noticed the front of the bonnet is suffering from "roadrash". Under the layer of filth you couldn't see them, but now they are painfully obviousl
In other words, it has tens of very noticable small chips. It's a dark metallic paint so it's quite noticable.
Now I've used touch up paints before and have a local shop who can mix paint, but that seems like a total arseache for all these tiny chips let alone the potential for making things worse.
I saw this product in the USA and wondered if anyone knows of something like it over here and has used it:
http://drcolorchip.com/Obviously the potential for fuck-up is huge hence why I'm asking. One thing on my side is that the car is dark green metallic which, in the past, has made touch ups easy to match.
As an aside, when the car was new (well second hand) the car was suffering from much the same thing but the VW dealer sorted it all out before I took delivery so it was good as new. No idea what they did but it was splendid. Probably a respray of the bonnet I guess....
