I posted this in the bargains thread, but I think the urgency makes it worth its own thread.

Some crazy foreign web site is giving away serials for Speedball 2 on Steam

Click.

Be quick!!!

I'd have done this if it didn't involve giving my email address to shady eastern european websites. Within weeks you'll all have grubby forrins rubbing squid over your windows shouting "KALKALASH!" and "YOU BUY! YOU BUY!" at you.

I live in North London, I won't notice any difference. :) As long as they bring things like sopocka and curried goat, they are welcome any time. (Also, I may have used my 'spam' address.)

As in Brutal Deluxe?

Edit. I went there, headed off to the link like it suggested and got this.

Quote:
Ze względu na to, że numerki seryjne do gry Speedball 2 były pobierane głównie przez osoby spoza Polski i ponieważ ich pula choć duża, jest jednak ograniczona, zmieniamy zasady ich przyznawania.
Osoby zainteresowane uzyskaniem numeru seryjnego do gry Speedball 2: Tournament proszone są o skorzystanie z naszego forum dyskusyjnego i wysłanie Prywatnej Wiadomości (PW) do użytkownika o nazwie Speedball2.
http://forum.cdaction.pl/index.php?act= ... &MID=66001

Wiadomość musi być napisana w języku polskim i oczywiście aby to zrobić należy mieć konto na naszym forum.
W odpowiedzi będą wysyłane numerki do gry. Czas na odpowiedzi może wynieść od kilku minut do kilku godzin gdyż osoba obsługująca to konto nie zawsze będzie miała czas i możliwość aby odpowiedzieć szybciej.

Which probably translates to.

Fuck off JC you're not having speedball 2 because you smell. Or something.

:(

It basically says they wanted it to only be for Polish people but were too stupid to enforce this in any way so you now have to join their forum and PM to get a code.

And I doubt it's worth that kind of hassle.

Got my key, but how do you actually get the game to type in the key? I am frankly baffled.

On Steam, go to "My Games" then click "Activate a product on Steam", put the code in, and it will download.

Took me ages to figure out as well! I almost ended up buying the game by mistake.

It seems to be really easy to score goals, so long as you at no point try to shoot the ball. The goalkeepers inevitably lunge wildly at the pope you which is simple to dodge, allowing you to wander into the empty net.

The menus are a bit of a mess, too. And having only three player skins per team is bobbins. It's a bit rubbish, really.

Can someone who got it just upload the game here?
Far easier.

:)

You seem to be unaware of how Steam works.

Be fair to the guy. He's unaware of how most things work.
