I have a dial in my fridge to control the temperature. It goes from 1 to 6. 1,2, and 3 are close together, 4, 5 and 6 are further apart. It didn't have a manual.
Which number is coldest?

Counter-intuitively, highest is coldest usually.

I concur.

I misread the title as 'fringe'. I was SO up for cutting your hair.

Hmm the number would be different then if were talking of haircuts, lower the number, the shorter the hair thus the smaller number would be the coldest.

I had the same thought about my fridge.. I found out the answer too but i've since forgot. I leave the fridge on the middle setting to get around this.

All the fridges I have had, have had the dial in degrees C. and that's been clearly marked on the dial/buttons.

Or, perversely, and more accurately, you turn your fridge down to 4 or 5 in the summer and up to 3 in the winter :p

69 obviously.

Although my fridge only goes up to 6. And that freezes the milk.
