Has anyone played this Xbox game yet? If so, does it get any better after mission 2?

At the moment it seems to be a test of how many times you can press the X button in a 15 minute period. Highly tedious button basher, with no skill involved at all. You push towards an enemy and press X until they've all fallen over, then endure a ridiculous cutscene. Repeat ad nauseum.

It gets a little better once your character learns some better moves but I gave up on it on about maybe the third level or so - the level with a giant frog type thing dressed as a king. The levels go on for ages so when you get pretty far and then die, it's too much of a chore to restart.

Pretty looking game but I prefer the Warriors Orochi games for my mass-slaughter requirements.

It's Microsoft, doing a game 'for the Japanese Market'. How good was it ever likely to be?

Well I sort of expected better from Q, to be honest. It's drudgery of the highest order.

Silliest character names in the history of gaming, though. So there's that.

Played the demo then walked away.

I keep seeing Bullet Witch for peanuts and nearly buy it, but it's never mentioned so it must be shite, yes? It looks like EDF with tits, so I wish it was good.

It's useless. I think I've still got it so if you're that curious, you can borrow my copy.

99 Nights looks like it has some promise as there's a load of characters to unlock etc - it just doesn't give you any desire to do so.

Ta Devilman, but I'll probably pick up a copy myself for the same price it would cost in postage. :)

I got it for £5 one of the times it was on special in blockbuster and played about 2 levels and gave up on it - its a full 3d environment but struggles to move , looks really slow and then slows down when other things happen on screen.

Perhaps watch some vids of it on youtube to get a feel for the speed of it - i just couldnt deal with it.

Bullet Witch allows you to download naughty costumes for your witch, and I've probably spent more time on that than the game itself.
