My new thing: http://drbacon.co.uk/.

I am still fiddling with the site layout etc, and adding seed content (I need to copy over all bacon content from fscked.co.uk, and cross-link from there to here). Criticism welcomed. Rodafowa, can I use your ace MR BACON DIES text as part of my bio?

As long as it isn't instant heart attack food like garlic salt is, I might get some.

I do feel that bacon salt is a slightly missed opportunity. If you wish to use bacon as a condiment, then do so. Take your unseasoned food, and add bacon. Job done.

In Chrome, the post text has a shadow.

It's distressingly similar to what happens to my vision after a day of staring at a screen. I don't need someone simulating that effect for me!

Code:
.container {width:500px; padding:30px 30px 15px 30px; background: #99B2BE; border-radius:20px; -webkit-border-radius:20px; -moz-border-radius:20px; margin-bottom:30px; color:#353230; text-shadow:1px 1px 1px #4c4c4c; overflow:hidden;font-size:10pt; }
Chrome must be inheriting that text-shadow down into contained <p>s.

Chrome would appear to be making it up then, because it's not there in IE or FF.

I think your vision may have gone early today.

Then you officially deserve everything you get.

The Doc should still tear that CSS out, spit and stamp on it, then slap himself in the face, however.

That's still in there from the theme I started hacking on. I saw it in the CSS but hadn't noticed the effect in Firefox, so hadn't removed it. It is, I concur, ugly.

Ah -- it was probably less ugly before I changed the text and background colours without changing the drop shadow colour. Anyway, it's gone now.

Hooray! Now I just need the eye-strain related nausea to back off, and I can do something else.

Yes, I forced myself to read all the posts anyway, straining my eyes. It's bacon.

I love how this is getting passed around without attribution. It was one of Thinkgeek's April Fools this year.

Dunno, I got that from baconporn as well. There was that "big fatty" thing on there as well, about 4 kilos of bacon mince wrapped around what appeared to be a full english.

Funny you should say that. Mrs. Rodders always refers to them as "chickens" because of the resemblance to a roast, well, chicken.

Nice clean site although, aesthetically, it reminds me of one I did with Nifty Corners Cubed in that the plain, rounded containers can make things look a wee bit sparse. Can I hazard that less padding and less space between "Dr Bacon, I presume?" and "Your daily bacon updates from..." would only improve matters? Well I can and I shall.

Hungry now.
