Here’s something I’ve wanted to get going for a while, but couldn’t muster the self absorption to start a blog for. MP3 MIXSETS! The internet is full of them! They are legally free, get people checking out new DJ’s and musical styles and get people excited to go out to nights where they play this stuff, have fun and dance like utter cretins. Probably half of all the music I listen to is in the form of Mixsets downloaded off the net and trust me, there are some absolute blinders kicking around which really should be heard by all.

So, simple really, this is for all you mixset listening types. Hip-Hop, Drum N Bass, Techno, Electro, House, Trance, Funk, Reggae, Disco, whatever you want. Post details here so others can get hold of them and enjoy them too.

Guidelines:

- Try to post permanent links so that this thread can be viewed in months to come and people can still get hold of the sets. A lot of these sets are quite transient (being on sendspace/megaupload etc), so obviously the older links may have expired, so check the most recent posts first.

- Especially if you are linking directly to an MP3, then give as much info about the set as you can. Most importantly, give a TRACKLISTING so we know what tracks we are listening to.

- DEFINITELY describe the type of music being played, so those with selective tastes know which to get and which to pass over. Give it a little review, a couple sentences, or just a “Damn, this is incredible!”

Absolutely breakneck, nosebleed, hard-as-hell New Skool Drum n Bass! God, I love this! The perfect bridge between classic mid '90's, uplifting female vocal stuff, meets the newer, harder-edged, tight-as-fuck sound. Includes some of the most vicious basslines you're ever likely to hear in your life! Not edging too close to the Breakcore sound (which I was never too enthusiastic about), this should be heard by fans of classic Photek and Ed Rush who are interested to hear what is currently firing on the frontlines.
