I saw this in Game yesterday, thought about it, but left it where it was for now.
Has anyone played it? Is it good?

The video trailers for it make it look a bit poo, but that might just be the horrible American sportscaster type advert they've gone for.

Tippy has it! And I've ordered it.. I think it looks ace and it was only £25 on Amazon.

That's good enough for me! I may review it for the site or something (if I can... can I?!?)

Excellent. I've run out of words for a while, so something new's needed.

It was £25 in Game too.

Of course, that'd be great.

I want it. But I don't know much about it.

I have just ordered No More Heroes, so I'm approx. a million years behind everyone anyway.

I didn't like it much, to be honest. Someone here loved it, but I forget who.

Does this mean the game hates things? As in 'it's full of hate'?

Will it hate me? Slightly scared now.

It sounds like it could be fun but I think it only stands out due to it being black and white, which personally I think looks shit.

Also: Fuck the Wii :metul:

Only played about an hour of it so far due to being away over the weekend, but it makes a hell of a fun first impression, with unique, lovely graphic style and innovative mayhem creation system. Jamming a tyre over someone, sticking a road sign through their neck then impaling them on a spike might, I guess, get old at some point in the year 2025, but until then I think I'll rather like it.

Colour me interested. Let me know what you think when you've played it for five hours, yeah?

Fackin hell. No More Heroes came today (ordered it yesterday with free postage). My first Wii game!

Slightly nervous, I have to admit. I'm a bit weird with 3D games at the best of times, and this'll involve a lot of forced gesticulating. Wish me luck!

Well, I got it, and it is incredible.

It is like God Hand, but not quite as technical, hella more violent, and a lot more stylish.

I give it 11 chainsaws out of 10.

You've got the word "to" in twice toward the end:
Quote:
Everything just works well as a game, there are some very funny, subtle reference to to other games.

I guess it should be references, too.

Other than that, you review is shit and you're a cunt, because now I have to buy it.

I saw it for £20 in t'Asda the other night. And wasn't it £15-odd in the bargains thread?

Edit -- sorry, it was £30, not £20. HOTD:Overkill was £20ish.

Madworld was 16.99 on somewhere a few days back.

Edit: 17.99 at Gamestation

It's £17.99 on Amazon now. My finger is poised over a "buy it now, deliver tomorrow" button with Fable 2, to be accompanied by a request for two days off work.

This dropped out of the all-formats top 40 after spending one week at 29, but it's currently at 6 in the full-price Wii chart. I can't work out whether that means it's doing well or not.

This has come. Intro looks ace but my Wii is broken :(

Lots of grinding noise from the DVD drive and the intro skips all over the place. Sounds like a broken drive. That disc looks OK to the naked eye, and I get the same grinding noises with Boom Blox playing (although that plays fine, I suspect it's not working the drive as hard).

Arses.

Whoa! Is this the first BeeX Wii to bite dirt?

What's N¥ntendo like for repairs/returns?

I played this today and it was quite good to play but I feel rather guilty that I'm indulging in such uberviolence.

I have no idea. It's out of warranty. According to their repairs website:

Quote:
Minor repairs to the Nintendo Wii are charged at £27.40 (repairs outside of warranty period)
Major repairs to the Nintendo Wii are charged at £65.50 ( misuse or physical damage)

Nah, Mimi's Wii only came back from repair last week.

I ripped the nunchcuk out of the Wii remote when I played it. Had 20 mins or so on it last night. Fun stuff.

Turns out I'm still too lazy to send my Wii away, but it also does a better job of reading discs when placed horizontally rather than vertically. So I've played this now, up to the first motorbike level.

Verdict: FUCK YEAH.

Bought it for a chum who already had it and so gave it back.

Played the first 30 mins and didn't like it too much, but last night was tempted to give it another go and just finished the first bike section and something click.

Proper good. I suspect it will be one trick. But a good trick. Destracted me from the samey samey samey Gears of War 2.

Shoving multiple toy trumpets into the face of a man pinned by a car tyre around his waist while John DiMaggio and Greg Proops whoop and holler has not yet become old for me. The levels have a lot of hidden and bonus stuff around, the depth of the game comes from replaying for score I think.
