The above inconsistencies annoy me, just a little, but they do, especially in Mafia Scum, when you forget to put your quotes in quotes and it comes out all wrong!

I was looking forward to some lovely hot buttery crumpets this morning, but had forgotten I'd finished them off yesterday.

I made a ham, salami and soft cheese sarnie and an applewood smoked cheddar and coleslaw sarnie this morning then I cut them in half and put one half of each together into two individual foil wrapped portions so that I wouldn't have to concern myself with which sarnie to eat first - meaty or cheesy. Obviously there's still the small quandary of which half to eat first when I open the foil but it's lessened by knowing the cheesy/meaty alternative is sat there waiting for me shortly after I've finished the other one.

For clarity I eat some sarnies at about 11:00am and then the next batch at 1:00pm (rough estimates) to spread my munching.

I still don't know which one to eat first though. All that effort for nothing.

It's not really an inconsistency, it's just that anything liable to contain a space needs to be encapsulated. URLs don't, so they're OK.

Of course, the parser could just look out for the closing square bracket instead..

It is in that you have to manually add the = in for both tags.

But that's because both tags work without the attribute.

I could mash it so you could use quotes in the URL if you wanted?

Ideally it would be nice if all 4 worked, but yes, having both working the same way would be great.

Clarification: height. HEIGHT.

It used to say 'I wish I was four inches taller', but that wasn't phrased as a complaint. Scuppered by my self-pedantry!

Listen to Metric's "Monster Hospital" or the MSTRKRFT remix which is better and still viewable on youtube (the original is fucked by the PRS/Youtube fight).

Mark X introduced me to Metric and I'm not entirely sure about them yet. I think they missed a trick with Monster Hospital song. They should have gone for 'Fought the WARD' tsk.

Hahahahahahaha. I'm nursing my sides.

Puns aside, I think they're listenable and at times enjoyable, but nothing special.

Gives new meaning to 'small complaint' I guess...

And this laptop non-scrobbling is really irking me now. How will the world know of my love for Dance Hall Crashers*??

The round last.fm thing in my bottom-of-screen thing is registering the songs. It's just not! Showing! Up!

What's wrong with that? It's a perfect substitution of the URL syntax into the quote syntax.

My only complaint about URLs is when people post obscenely long ones it breaks the width of the forum, especially in the mobile version.

Is there no way to automatically truncate the content of the URL tag, and add it to the attribute part instead?

Granted, it doesn't happen very often here, but it's still very annoying when it does.

If you put it in URL tags, it doesn't truncate.

Strange: it does that already? I remember Chinny(?) posting a very, very long ebay link recently, and it wasn't truncated, so it totally spazzed the site up. Maybe the special characters fucked it up.
