Now this is a 360 that JohnCoffey could buy.

Meh, what you want is a PS3 dev kit, those things are monsters. They look quite capable of causing a hernia. I've never had to lift one though.

What's in the extra top gubbins? Three hard drives? I do like it lots, though. Very cool!

If they released a commercial version of the 360 with that colour scheme, I'd be tempted to buy one. Yes. I am that superficial.

ou're not likely to get an answer to that other than conjecture.

(Although it's not extra hard drives)

I'd like a photo of Mr Dave led next to that, idly curling his chest hair with one hand and sucking the index finger of his other.

Why does it need to look that good for the devs? Devs can work with bare wires as far as I'm concerned, consumer's where's it at. Whack attack.

Please conject, because I'm baffled.

Those who know have to sign NDAs. And I've not seen any release from those people who shouldn't own such things but do.

That's not conjecting! That's being sensible. I clearly requested baseless speculation.

It's only Microsoft that Bother. The GC dev kit is an ugly gray lump, the PS2 dev kit looks like someone grabbed 8 PS2s and superglued them into an enormous 80s monstrosity, the PS3 dev kit looks about the size on an old 286, but black. The PSP dev kit is a dinky white box. Never been anywhere with a Wii or DS dev kit.

Meanwhile, the XBox dev kit was essentially a green xbox, and the xbox360 looks like a slightly larger 360.

Actually, I could just ask my mate at Bizarre. He has one on his desk! Not that colour, though.

You've missed 'Richard Gaywood' off the poll.

If that's not enough to get Zio to buy another xbox I don't know what is.

The original 360 dev kits were.... G5 macs :D

I'd imagine someone on YakYak would at least pm an answer if someone asked over there, as regards the big lump where the HD resides usually.

I believe the DS devkit is a little blue box, while the Wii devkit is essentially the same but with a green cover.
