Here's my more or less unstarted games:

Ace Combat 6: Need to restart
Table Tennis: Not started
Perfect Dark Zero: Finished
Orange Box: Not started
Dirt: Not started
CoD2: Need to restart
Rock Bank: Not started
Viva Pinata: Not started
The Club: Not started
Halo 3: Finished
Fallout 3: Finished
Assassin's Creed: Not started
Lost Planet: Not started
Dead Rising: Not started
Sega Superstar Tennis
Dead Space
Bully: Scholarship Edition
Saint's Row 2
Lego star Wars: The Complete Saga

and I've got to move one into my pile of ongoing games once I finish GTA4 story today. Which from that pile are really quite short? I'm looking to do the last fifth of Mass Effect and then maybe another two titles this week as I'm off work.

Bully i played enough to get ut into the town on PS2 but then bought a 360 and never picked it up again. Got the 360 version yesterday so looking forward to that but also fancy raising hell in Saint's Row 2 or one of the Dead Space/Lost Planet types.

Rock Bank is good like, although it goes downhill once Iggy Pop comes in saying he can get his car insurance cheaper elsewhere.

I've got SR2 and not touched it yet.

Lost planet is quite fun but the difficulty ramps up a bit and i played maybe 5 missions in then got stuck and keep meaning to go back to it but havent.
Dead rising was my favourite 360 game when i first got it and i finished it dozens of times but it requires a lot of work at the start working out what your doing and how to do parts of the mission its 'short-ish' but I wouldnt suggest its a good one to just pick up and go.

I have a similar list of stuff i've not played - however SFIV and RE5 are going to be taking up a lot of my time for at least a while - in my unplayed list i have :

Bioshock
Gears of war (the first one)
Lost
Condemned 2
Sega superstars tennis
Sonic unleashed
Quake Wars
Sega Rally
Civilization Revolution
The Orange box
Skate
Mass effect
Blue Dragon
Lego Indy
Fable II
Kane & Lynch

And i've only done about 1/2 of Mirrors edge which i also want to go back and finish

Bioshock takes about 10 hours max Id say.
GoW1 was fairly short with only 5 levels.
Lost is short and shit about 6 horus.
sonic superstar tennis is shit.

SR2 is brilliant and can be rattled through pretty quickly if you want to.

You want to play GoW1 in co-op with a chum if you can.

I've got so many untouched games at home that I've actually just started going through them alphabetically now. Though that isn't going too well to be honest - I've finally played a bit of Burny Pee (crikey, good isn't it?), just finished Call of Duty 4, but then Street Fighter IV came out and ruined everything by forcing me to play it endlessly. Until Resident Evil 5 came out.

But after Resident Evil 5, I'm cracking on with Devil May Cry 4. Provided I don't buy Killzone 2 first.

I'm leaning in this direction trying to finish one or two of the later GTA4 missions - one badly chosen bit of cover and it's a twenty minute drive to get back to the same spot. Fucking inexcusable game design these days and nigh-on a game breaker for me. Only it being GTA has prevented me moving on.

That came free with my xbox. It spent an entire 3 minutes in the tray before I threw it across the room in disgust.

:this:

You have to load, drive from the safe house, drive to buy guns and ammo, drive to the mission and THEN do whatever driving the mission insists you do.

It's this stopping me finishing it.

Its why I stopped playing GTA3, and why with hindsight I shouldn't have bought IV

GTA IV suffers from GTA III syndrome. Too much story, not enough fun things to do. Hopefully we'll get some more "expansive" things to do in the IV-b and IV-c ones. The Lost and Damned is fucking awful too.

It doesn't stop mainstream "journalists" from giving it stellar reviews though

Bear in mind that GTA IV didn't exactly set Dimmers' world alight first time round. I'd really only expect anyone who thought it was amazing to buy the DLC at that price.

I really enjoyed it, but can't really justify TLAD to myself at that price.

This post-GTA3 games also never did anything for me. There are games with much better driving, others with better firefights, better brawling, better stealth and better explorable environments. Why should i bother?

the only one i liked was The Godfather on the wii, even with the subpar graphics

I concur with just about every criticism of the GTA marque, but there's no game in the world I want more than San Andreas on 360 with updated graphics and achievements.

I still have SR1 shrinkwrapped. I need to change that don't I?

I don't feel I didn't get my £30 worth out of GTA4, I just don't have any motivation to finish the fucking thing.

:this:

I happily worked all the way through the story missions of III, Vice City, San Andreas and Liberty City Stories (though to be fair, the latter was a slog and a half and was completed over many, many bored trips to the toilet), but even though I very much enjoyed what I played of IV I still have absolutely no desire to finish it. It is a very pretty game, but seemed a little hollow and empty after San Andreas. I know a lot of people hated the RPG-lite elements of SA, but I personally thought they were a masterstroke in developing the ultimate sandbox game.

GTA 4 might have been a better game had they stayed on the course San Andreas plotted, but it would have been criticised for not being different enough - there'd have been a whole 'that's it?' reaction.

I still think Rockstar are on the right track though when it comes to pushing the boundaries of the open world genre, which I've been most comfortable in as a gamer since Elite.

Meh, I never really thought any GTA game (bar the first) was anything above average. I wasn't going to buy GTAIV until everyone made out that the multiplayer was excellent, and likely to be played lots.

It's shit. (Naked men knife fights aside)
And noone plays it much.

It's shit because no-one plays it much. When GTA4 came out I had to go and get Call of Duty 4 in order to play any of my 75-odd friends at anything at all online. I'm betting we've not had a proper BeeX night of the Lost & Damned multiplayer games yet either have we? Need to buy it first, mind. Am finishing the main story now though. Just remembered I can get free health, txis and stars removed by going bowling a few times. Time for the final run-in.

Nah, it was shit because the play mechanics were really very clunky and not much fun. And that's before the already horrendous controller lag was made so many time worse by network latency

Getting a large turnout wasn't a problem to begin with.

What Dave said. If the game had been multiplayered up to do the campaign together, that'd be fabulous. But it just turned into a really shitty deathmatch game where you stood opposite each other and pumped bullets until one fell over. Then the next person you saw would kill you instantly. Cops and Crooks was good for a few turns, but turned Meh after a while. Lace Sensor's rocket attack on pursuing policemen aside.
