The lates Beex game of Mafia Scum is going to start next week. It is theemd around aliens, and features such diverse characters as FBI Agents Mulder & Scully, bad aliens, good aliens, mafia, cops, people who make mannequins... a whole lot of stuff!

Read the thread, but still not entirely sure what a player actually physically DOES, but I guess Ill muddle through somehow

New people: the best thing to do is claim you're the Mafia Godfather on the first day. Especially if you're bluffing and you're just a townie.

Here's roughly what happens.

Everyone is assigned a role, as per the rules. Then a thread is started for the first day, including the player list. People then post in the thread to talk, muck about and accuse either other of being scum (Scum = bad guys, in this case evil aliens and the Mafia).

Days end when either the time limit expires or (perhaps more often) the people all decide to lynch someone. Everyone in the town (even the Scum) has a vote, which they use like so:

If the number of people voting for a given person exceeds half of the people left, then they form a lynch mob and kill the offending person. You then find out what that person's role was. From that, you can look at how they behaved and who they voted for, and use it to cast suspicion on others.

The end of the day brings about the start of the night. During the ngiht phase nobody can post in the Mafia thread. Instead, people with night actions (aliens, FBI Agents, etc) can PM me with who they choose to investigate/kill/protect etc. Once I have received all of these decisions, the next day phase starts, with the Narrator (me) informing the town who died overnight.

This then repeats until one side wins. Once you're dead you can no longer post in the main Mafia thread, but can post in a 'Dead Thread' that can only be seen by non-participants and the dead.

All in all, it's a lot of silly fun.

That's still my all time favourite Mafia comedy moment. I had visions of someone yelling it out in the town square as a joke, and it being taken seriously, Life of Brian style.

I bet Russ gets on planes and shouts about having bombs in his shoes, as well.

I thought it was excellent, as I was mafia, and highly amused to see everyone jumping on him.

Okay add me in for the numbers - i will probably struggle to post much during the day though as work is rather busier at the moment than it has been for previous games.

Go on then, although I may end up getting modkilled as I'm proper busy at work at the moment.

I know he's not talking to us, but Dudley used to love these games, and might want to play.
