As my wife is into being green.

We are giving re-usable nappies a try. No the old towelling squares, but new funky ones.

Have you lot had any experiences with re-usable nappies (for babies )?

You shouldn't just throw them in a 55 gallon drum, that's for sure.

I do know there are gov grants to help buy a few eco nappies but tbh we use Pampers (but we don't drive Land Rovers so thats cool, yeah?)

The idea of scraping out nappies, washing and drying them as well as all the other day to day baba jobs is deeply disturbing.

You have my sympathies.

We did get a grant from the council for them. The wife wants to try so why not :(

I think it is the way that nappies take between 200 and 500 years to break down.

We have a few eco disposables just in case ( ASDA do them).

Friend of mine used these, or a similar equivalent, for a while. In the they drifted to using disposables quite quickly though, the washing/drying was getting too much (on top of all the usual sprog clothes washing).

Christ, no. It's bad enough trying to keep on top of the clothes they need without having to wash the nappies, too.
Unless you have two washing machines, I guess - that wouldn't be too bad.
